Nando's @ The Exchange TRX — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

We went with high expectations here after hearing about their sauces being the best and food being awesome. However we were most unpleasantly disappointed. The sauces were basic like any bottled sauce you'll get in the cheapest price. No special flavour. Or maybe me being from India expected a lot more as we have better tasting sauces in streetfood than this The portion size- OMG it was soooo tiny. It would have been not enough even for a toddler. I ordered the chicken peri peri bowl regular size (which is equivalent to large as the other size option was Lite). The bowl looked big but it was very shallow. It literally had like a small piece of chicken shredded and like half cup rice. Felt extremely hungry even after eating this "large bowl". My husband order a vegetarian bowl and had even a worse experience. There were 2-3 spinach leaf sprinkled over some sad bell peppers and mushy mushroom. We regretted not going to madam kwangs which was nearby and which serves a portion size big enough for 2 people to eat at the same price. Not to mention the taste there is awesome as well. Also the rice was dripping with oil. I left the last tablespoon of rice (the bowl had like 7-8tbsp of rice only) because of the oil. And we paid like 25 MYR for this We ordered the bottomless coke which we can refill multiple times but guess what, their drinks were diluted with water. You couldn't feel the sharp fizz that coke generally has. We also ordered peri peri wedges. The wedges didn't have any coating of peri peri. It was negligible and tasted like stir fried boiled potatoes. Not to mention the portion size was small again

We left hungry and had to go to another place to fill our tummies. Would never...

Strike 1: Rude hostess on 2nd day of raya (wearing black kebaya). I observed her behaviour from the moment we stepped in, not a hint of smile on her face, no greetings (where's my bomdia?) and lack mannerisms. We entered on our own as there was no one manning the entrance and with low-quality hospitality she showed up her hand and said tunggu. That's it. No training for hostess? Is this Nandos, or mamak? Her service is below par even for a mamak stall.

Strike 2: Our orders were wrong. We requested 3 breasts and 1 thigh but received the opposite but we decided to just accept it.

Strike 3: our peri chips barely had peri powder on it. I was already furious. We are not first timer at Nandos! We have eaten this for many years! So service is short, menu prep is short, now my peri powder is short too?

What is wrong, Nando's? Why hire sour grumpy hostess and complement it with poor food quality?

They should learn FROM Subang Parade outlet as I'm a regular there. Top notch service despite being busy during iftar and super friendly. Memalukan outlet TRX je!

Extra note: I was ex employee in year 2002 and 2004 at Sunway Pyramid therefore I don't appreciate seeing the service level as this is not what we were...
