Long but detailed review — Read this, pay them a visit then thank me later ! 😆🫰🏻
ps : NOT a paid review, but if Enso ever needs me for a food review,im up for it ! 😬🫰🏻🤪
💁🏻Service The staff are incredibly friendly, nice, helpful and attentive. I have to mention this first because I felt so grateful for their hospitality !
I’m a very slow eater 🥹👉🏻👈🏻 It was close to their lunch break (though I only realized this afterward 😭), but they never once hinted that I should hurry. They are such sweet people 🫶🏻 There was a minor mix-up with my dessert order, but it didn’t bother me at all — why would it, with staff this nice?
Gyu Fire Teppan RM88 : 🥗 Garden Salad: Some veggies were a bit bitter, but I loved the sesame sauce ! It seemed homemade, as it didn’t taste exactly like Kewpie’s sesame sauce (?) I asked for extra sauce, and they gave me a cute little jar of it ! 😆
🐂🥩 Black Angus Beef with Yakiniku Sauce: You can choose how well-cooked you’d like it, and they offer a fire grill performance too ❤️🔥 This was my favorite dish from the set 🤭
🥗 Sautéed Vegetables (Bean Sprouts with Beef Fat): A bit bland for me — would have liked it a little saltier and maybe with some pepper 🤭
🍚 Garlic Fried Rice: Slightly salty for my taste 🥹
🍲 Miso Soup: It was just okay 😬 I wish it had been hotter, as it was only slightly warm and didn’t really soothe my throat
🍉🍈🍍 Cut Fruit: Small cuts of watermelon, melon, and pineapple. The melons weren’t too sweet, and the pineapple was extremely sour! 🤣 Can’t blame them for this tho ~
Other À la Carte Items We Ordered : 🍛 Tori Katsu Curry Don RM24 (Chicken Cutlets with Japanese Rice): Nice portions of rice, chicken cutlets, potatoes, and curry sauce — all complement each other well ! My sister enjoyed it but couldn’t finish the whole bowl 🤣
Nigiri Classics (2 Pieces): 🍣 Salmon Belly Aburi (Norwegian Salmon Belly) RM14 : Absolutely loved it ! The salmon was very fresh, and the price was very reasonable. I was surprised as I’ve had less fresh salmon elsewhere for higher prices. Please don’t raise the price yea ! 🥹
🐂 Gyu Nigiri (Black Angus Sliced Aburi) RM11 : Loved this too ! (I love good, fresh beef in general) Though I preferred the salmon aburi, maybe because I’d already enjoyed the beef teppanyaki so much 🤣
Desserts : 🍮 Crème Brûlée RM8 : So creamy and delicious! I wished for a bit more caramelization on the pudding. The presentation could improve too — maybe use crunchier cookies and skip the rainbow sprinkles? But at this price and taste, I’d definitely come back !
🍮 Hokkaido Milk Pudding RM12 : This amazed us! The pudding, caramel sauce, and soybean powder go so well together, like pieces of a puzzle 😂 The portion was a bit small, though 🥹 I hope they’ll be a bit more generous next time 🤭
Atmosphere: The restaurant is beautifully designed with a cozy dining area. The lighting and tableware setup enhanced our dining experience.
🍹Beverage : 🍋🍯 Lime Honey Iced Tea - nothing extraordinary ~ *Complimentary iced/warm water - They refill your water without you even asking 🙏🏻
The chefs and staff engage with customers throughout the teppanyaki experience.
TMI !! 🤭 The chefs would grill eggs, cut them into small pieces and toss them for guests to try to catch in their mouths. My sister succeeded on her first try and everyone was impressed by her luck ! 🤣 There was a cute Korean girl who “succeeded” with a little playful help from the staff — they asked her to close her eyes, slipped the egg into her mouth and we all cheered. It was such a sweet & funny moment 🥹
I’m excited to return and try more dishes ! 💗 Thanks,...
Read moreWent for the wagyu menu at the Teppanyaki grill side for early valentine dinner and despite the somewhat higher prices the experience was worth it. The culinary performance and attentiveness of the chef and staff during our dinner and the food quality and taste was very good. I expected regular Teppanyaki style dining but it was more of a fine dining experience of 2+ hours. Highlights were ofcourse the fire performance to grill the meat but the chef also had some other fun additions towards the end of the dinner when preparing the garlic fried rice. Ordered 1 wagyu set to share with 2 pax which did not seem that much at first but with some delicious salmon sushi added on the side it was perfect and enough to keep us satisfied through the rest of the evening.
The location on the 2nd floor of this somewhat boring luxury focussed mall is a bit off but the interior, atmosphere and staff inside make up for it. This place would do better elsewhere I think. Plenty of Koreans seem to go here as well as some lost white men like myself. The locals go more for the seated dining and different (lower priced) sushi...
Read moreAbsolutely Disgraceful Service – Treated Like We Were Invisible
We walked into Enso at 1pm, intending to celebrate my father's birthday with what we hoped would be a pleasant lunch. Instead, we were completely ignored. I politely asked to speak with the manager regarding their set lunch menu, and despite clearly hearing the request, he chose to treat our entire party as if we were invisible—no greeting, no acknowledgment, not even a basic courtesy.
He simply carried on, walking past us without a word, as though we didn’t exist. Not once did anyone make the effort to assist or follow up. After standing there awkwardly, humiliated and disrespected, we left without ordering a thing.
This was meant to be a special day. Instead, we were met with arrogance and disregard. There is simply no excuse for such rude and unprofessional behavior in any establishment, especially one that positions itself as a reputable dining venue.
We will never return, and I strongly advise others to think twice before choosing Enso. A restaurant is only as good as the respect it shows its guests — and this place...
