Jiran Hostel — Hotel in Borneo

The location is in the center of Kota Kinabalu, surrounded by many famous restaurants and shopping malls. Staff will contact you in advance via WhatsApp. Although the front desk is not available 24 hours, if you cannot check in during staffed hours, they will provide self-check-in instructions through messages. The public space is relatively small but very clean, tidy, and cozy. The beds in the room are moderately firm and very clean, with towels and soap for showering provided. The bathroom is also very clean, with quick hot water and sufficient water pressure. The front desk staff are very friendly and professional, and check-in is handled quickly. We stayed here with a big group and had an amazing stay! The rooms were really nice and clean just like the shared spaces. Great location to stay as it is not on a busy road but when you walk just a few minutes you can find plenty of nice shops and restaurants. There also was a supermarket 2 minute walk from the hostel which was really nice! The hostel was perfect for a big group but I positive it being great for smaller groups too. The best thing about our stay was the amazing staff that were super helpful in making our trip one for the books :) They went out of their way to make sure everything was good in the hostel and also with the activities we planned around the city....

Easy check in and check out. The receptionist are very helpful. I came early and she let me keep my bags near the counter and put my bags inside the room. The room are comfortable, i had a good sleep. They provide clean towel. No food allow in the room, but you can eat at the common space. Fridge and microwave are available. All amenities are new. There a door that can leads you directly to Dirty Duck cafe. This hostel doesn’t have lift so you have to carry your bags.
