Authentic, delicious, and affordable with great hospitality, services, friendly best Korean Restaurant in Kota Kinabalu!

We are not great Korean food fan (besides movies) before tonight dinner. We were really impressed by the dishes by the hardworking Korean boss and wife and team of staff, especially Jacob and the pretty cashier! Jacob and the team will take care of you when there.

Services were fantastic throughout with delicious, fresh, and tasty dishes. We had the signature Dakgaibi good for 2 and beef soup without rice. Portions were more than enough for 2. Had a feast for the eyes before the tummy as the boss and Jacob prepared and cooked the Dakgaibi at our table. It was a fun, interesting, and fantastic presentation! We love it! This is heart's cooking.

KK's locals are fortunate to have this great food and affordable restaurant with such hardworking bosses and team. If you're touring KK, it's definitely worth your time, effort, and tummy to visit. Don't miss this real gem. We will be back for more before leaving KK! Thank you, Merah Merah for the wonderful and...

Eating this Korean food was an unforgettable experience! The beef soup was rich and comforting, perfect for warming up on a chilly evening. The tteokbokki had just the right amount of spice, with a satisfying chewiness that kept me coming back for more. The marinated crab was an absolute highlight—soaked in deep, umami-rich soy sauce, every bite was bursting with flavor. And of course, the kimchi added the perfect balance of tang and spice to the meal.

The local street atmosphere made everything even better, with the hustle and bustle of vendors and the inviting aromas of sizzling food. Every dish felt authentic, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. If you're a fan of bold flavors and comforting meals, Korean street food is a must-try!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Would definitely go back for more!

Last but not least, please add more lighting for more bright and aesthetic environment for taking picture more pwetthhhhyyyyy!!!! Still cannot imagine that me and my family only food hunting but end up meeting your place what a...

I had an amazing experience dining at Merah Merah Korea in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah! From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a wonderful meal. The interior is clean, cozy, and gives off authentic Korean vibes.

The food was absolutely delicious — from the perfectly marinated meats for the BBQ to the flavorful side dishes (banchan) and soups. Every bite tasted fresh and well-prepared. You can really tell they put effort into delivering quality and authenticity. Highly recommend their kimchi stew and cheese dakgalbi — so good!

What made the experience even better was the excellent service. The staff were super friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with grilling or explaining the menu. They made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout the entire meal.

Whether you’re a fan of Korean cuisine or just looking for a great dining spot in KK, Merah Merah Korea is definitely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be coming...

Passed by the restaurant a few times but wasn’t interested in trying because of the name 😆 it doesn’t sound convincing but I was quite surprised by the good reviews so decided to give it a try. Went there with my other two friends. We ordered the premium seafood ramen, cold noodles and raw beef bibimbap. Loved the seafood ramen, it’s so umami and full of seafood flavours! The cold noodles was very unique, it really stood out among all the three dishes. It’s sweet and tangy because of the fresh sliced apples and pickled radish. It makes a perfect dish for a hot day! The raw beef bibimbap was pretty good, the beef was tender and well seasoned. The portions might be a bit small for some, but it’s just nice for us as most restaurants in KK serve HUGE portions of food which is good for the wallet but not really healthy 😅 There’s a wide selection of dishes on the menu, I can’t wait to come back and try the rest 😃
