SOL Korean BBQ — Restaurant in City Centre

as someone who frequently enjoys KBBQ in hawaii and los angeles (where i feel it’s done quite well) SOL KBBQ is a perfectly solid KBBQ experience - and it gets extra points for being in cabo where i definitely didn’t expect to find any

service was solid for AYCE. there’s a button on the table to call a server and we never felt neglected or as if we were being “throttled” for AYCE.

it’s more expensive than what you’ll find in other cities and they don’t have some of the familiar cuts of meat like the thin brisket rolls or thin pork belly. most of the selection is of marinated meats.

the banchan was quality (really liked the potato salad, cucumber salad, and corn cheese) but i wish they had a higher quality kimchi as that’s one of my kbbq favorites. the grill was hot and it wasn’t smoky at all inside.

overall for a KBBQ experience in cabo it was perfectly solid. it’s not at the level of what you’d experience in LA or Hawaii, but if you’re in cabo, want kbbq, and are willing to pay a small premium, SOL is great.

You have no idea how excited we were when we found out about Sol KBBQ! We are Korean bbq lovers and we decided to try it out on Valentine’s Day. Our faves were the LA galbi and pork belly and all the banchan.The beef bulgogi marinade needed a bit of tweaking but it was good. And, I understand some ingredients may be hard to find here. I’m hoping they add Korean fried chicken and cheesy corn to the menu in the future 🙏🏽. Next time we need to try more items on their extensive premium AYCE menu! Come hungry! Let me tell you about this place. WOW. Ok so I’ve never done a Korean bbq, but as soon as I walked in I knew the experience would be good. You have 2 buffet options (chose premium) you have 2 hours to enjoy as much as you’d like. (Mucho tiempo) The staff is great, the food is tasty, Always make a reservation for a better experience. The cocktails are good, the Korean alcoholic drinks are strong. Overall I’d go back. Only thing I’d recommend is making the bathroom a little nicer.
