HORRIBLE BIRTHDAY EXPERIENCE We chose to dine at Edith's for my husband's birthday. When we sat down my son & I decided we wanted to share the Wallys seafood platter because I don't eat much & he wanted to try seafood for the very first time and this was a good chance.
My son was excited to try shrimp, lobster, sea bass! When it came time to order the waiter said "unfortunately the price will be higher because we only have bigger lobsters available"
Listen the price is NOT the issue at all, it's the principle of bait & switch. If something isn't available for the price shown at the menu this should have been clearly stated when passing the menu to the table.
We were disappointed but decided to take another look at the menu because we don't eat much and he made a clear point the lobster would be big.
So we looked a second time at the menu again with the goal of trying seafood for my son for his first time.
We found another option for the shrimp and lobster scampi! The waiter came again to the table and we told him we wanted to order the shrimp & lobster scampi. Again, he tells us the one on the menu is "not available" and if we wanted to order it would be $22USD more than the menu price.
I asked to speak to the manager as I have an issue with the ethics of a bait & switch it's the principal! He dismissed my request for a manager and continued explaining it's only because the have big lobsters and not small ones.
We live in Vegas and I've worked and dined at some of worlds most high end restaurants. My issue is that "unavailable items" should have been stated when we sat down that items on the menu were unavailable and or not the same price as the menu. But instead of being transparent the waiter waited 2 times for us to decide and then Redecide what to eat to tell us no it's not available & will be more money that shown on the menu!
I think this restaurant is unethical in their business practices. We decided to leave and not dine there based on the principle. We went to the office and had...

Food 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere 5 Cost to worth it 3 (more expensive but worth it) Opentableable: no, must contact them online via their website Return worthiness: yes Eve award: best churros ever
Highlights: Churros: best I've ever had! My whole family named this as our fave eats of our trip. Crispy on the outside, bit chewy on the inside, and just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar. Came with 3 sauces: chocolate, berry, and cream with nuts. Bonus the container they were standing Ho in it was in was an edible cookie dipped in chocolate and a side of tasty tiny chopped strawberries. 5 stars Wally's special: amazing seafood trip. Shrimp butterflied in their shells, lobster tail, and piece of sea bass. All were pure, fresh, and so delicious. There's melted butter and a spinach sauce as well. 5 stars Combo: chicken breast, cheese filled pepper, and steak my hub enjoyed. 4.5 stars Bananas foster: came with a fire show done table side. 4 stars Staff: Rigo, Saul, and Santiago were exceptional! Made our experience wonderful that evening. Super friendly, helpful, and on top of everything. Atmosphere magical colorful glass blown hearts hanging in a high gazebo like area in the middle of the open air restaurant.
Midlights: For reservations, need to submit online from their website and wait to get a response. Not in real time so you were not be sure if availability until they get back to you. Plain chicken breast: glad they did this for us but charged $25 for only that without any sides. Give you salsa but no chip to start: only a single large chip with cabbage and sour cream.
Lowlights Second time we visited just a few days later was not as good of an experience. The waiter wasn't welcoming, wouldn't provide us the drink menu, and scoffed at one of my friends ordering a beer.
Loved our first dinner and hope the next visit will...
Read moreI wish 6 stars was an option! My wife and I live in Omaha Nebraska and we were gifted 7 nights in Cabo at the Pueblo Bonito Rose resort and spa for our 16 anniversary. Part of our blessing was a gift certificate for Ediths with a highly recommended rating. Personally I’m fairly skilled in the art of cuisine and hold food service to a pretty high standard, I don’t eat out very often! We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation which was lucky to get, soon we were temperature checked for Covid reasons and were shown to our table. It’s clear that the service is second to none! It was 5 pm on a gorgeous August Friday night in Cabo , the view from our table was fairytale! The restaurant is a magnificent thatched roof circular setting we were closely watched by a crew of very attentive staff. All were very genuine in their concern to ensure we had the best experience possible. Our water glasses were filled with bottled water and our drinks were quickly brought to the table. Shortly after a large tray with cellophane wrapped cuts of the evening’s offerings was on display, 14 plus ounces of perfectly marbled NY strip, a flawless Fillet Mignon , Salmon , and a huge Tomahawk steak of probably 30 Oz was offered. It’s clear that they want to satisfy! We started our meal with wood grilled ribeye street tacos that were perfectly petite and topped with cilantro and lime, for the main course we shared the Steamed half Lobster and garlic butter jumbo shrimp, it was accompanied by a a side of pilaf and stemed fresh spinach. DEEE LISH! For desert Bananas Flambe’! Prepared at the table and my goodness, PERFECTION,! Dining at Ediths isn’t cheap by any means but the service and quality are simply beyond priceless! I’ve included a photo of another tables tray as a testament to the quality! Fine crafted cuisine in an incredible setting with unmatched service!...
