Never in my life traveling the world have I have experienced the level of disrespectful at this restaurant. I asked the name of our server & he said his name was Gabriel. We came here for the beautiful view of the beach, and to have a couple of drinks and snacks. The seafood guacomole was not fresh & the seafood in it was disgusting. We also ordered avocado tacos, which were slightly better, but still far from good. A beer, water & a mezcal drink which was completely too sweet & had ZERO alcohol. I asked to pay the bill, leaving half of the food & the entire mezcal drink untouched, When Gabriel approached me to pay with credit card, he asked he much tip I was going to leave him in cash. I explained that the service was incredibly slow the whole time, the food was mediocre at best, and the mezcal drink was disgusting. I said because of this, I told him I may leave him a little bit of pesos in cash, but I didn't feel like the service or experience was worth of any propina. He sat next to me while my girlfriend was in the bathroom, and told me that if I didn't tip him I could expect problems around the Marina. I told him that I am sorry, but i won't be tipping you. I signed the bill, and he snatched the receipt out of my hands and cursed at me in Spanish after walking away. I confronted him again outside of the restaurant to get his name and to warm him that his behavior wasn't expectable, and that I would have tipped him around 10% in cash if he had not threatened me. I would never come here again, and I will spread the word on every single other review site of the treatment and disrespect that I received from Gabriel. Please avoid this tourist trap at all costs. I hope that the management realizes the value of having good employees vs. street thugs who will try and force you into giving them money for terrible food and drinks. They ate maybe 3 or 4 and decided they didn’t like it, and asked to send it back and get something different instead. Our server Sol said “do you want something additionally” which my friends responded no, and explained they wanted something else because they didn’t care for them. She said ok that’s fine and they ordered chicken tenders instead. The chicken tenders took so long and were so skinny and small they looked like chicken sticks . Then Sol came over and tried to tell my friends that she can only remove the charge for 1 nacho but not both AFTER they received their new food. We told her that’s not okay and she said she’ll see what she can do. Finally when we finished it took her almost 30 minutes to bring the bill even after being asked 3 times. So me and one friend left to the bathroom because after we asked we seen our server taking down umbrellas, waiting on other tables, and talking to fellow staff. When came back, we were getting accused of running out on the bill even though our other friend stayed at the table. The waiter told her “you either pay for 1 nachos or both your choice”. She was so rude and disrespectful and didn’t pipe down until her manager came over to which he said he can’t return it but he’ll make us a free margarita. Read moreOur visit to Milky Beach in Cabo was unfortunately marred by a disappointing service experience. We arrived in the mid-afternoon for food and drinks but found the service to be lacking, prompting us to head next door to Corazon Beach Club instead.
Initial Hopes and Delays:
Initially, things seemed promising as the staff took our drink order promptly and even asked about our food preferences. However, from that point on, the service took a downhill turn. Despite the place not being busy, no one returned to take our food order or check on us as we contemplated our choices.
Lack of Attention and Misunderstandings:
Even when we ventured to the top for a photo, no staff member came to inquire about our needs. Our attempts to order food were met with confusion, as the hostess brought us ice instead. The overall lack of attentiveness left us feeling neglected and frustrated.
Opting for a Change:
After a prolonged wait of 30 minutes, we decided to make a change and headed next door to Corazon Beach Club. The decision was not taken lightly, as we always strive to give every place the benefit of the doubt, but the quality of service at Milky Beach simply did not meet our expectations, especially for our first visit.
Final Thoughts:
While the location and ambiance at Milky Beach were pleasant, the subpar service experience left us with a mixed impression.
