Mamazzita — Restaurant in El Medano Ejidal

I am a personal shopper and designer who loves to travel and eat. I was recently in Cabo San Lucas for a wedding and kept seeing advertisements for this place. While I’m not a picky eater, I do have my preferences and am particular about what I eat. When I arrived at the Hotel ME, I was truly impressed. The hotel itself, is breathtaking. The driveway is lined with cobblestone and sand and has stars painted along the walk, that seem to shimmer beneath the lights. The lobby does not disappoint, either. There is beautiful decor, along with a few seating areas that are designed for fun and exciting photo backdrops. I was greeted by a lovely hostess named Sylvania, and after giving her my name and allergies, I was taken downstairs to the restaurant area. I wasn’t prepared. The space where Mamazzita resides, is slightly elevated, and at night is dimly lit with beautiful lanterns and bamboo that surround the tables. The seating area of the restaurant gives a GORGEOUS view of the pool area and sister restaurant/bar on the property, and even farther out…the ocean. At night, this view along with the ambiance of the restaurant itself, is worth the visit. Once seated, my waiter Julian took my order and brought along a complimentary dish from the chef. It was a beautifully plated chicarron with cheese and a mix of salsa. It was absolutely delicious. For my entree, I had the marinated shrimp tacos. They were almost too beautiful to eat….ALMOST. And I’m happy I did! The tacos were delectable as was the tamarind margarita. After my delicious meal, I was I welcomed by the awesome manager Jose, to the rooftop. On the rooftop is bar that overlooks the Arch, ocean, and Dock. The view in the night sky was absolutely STUNNING and when I got a little chilly, I was offered a blanket by the bartender. I was told that’s a service offered by the bar, even though they also have heat lamps on the roof, which I personally think is just top tier! My experience at Mamazzita was an unforgettable FIVE star experience. If you’re looking for a romantic and sexy environment in which to eat absolutely mouthwatering, eye catching food, where the staff sets a bar, Mamazzita and the Hotel ME are the place for you. Went here for dinner and breakfast. Give both a 4/5 stars.

Breakfast- Day 1 - eggs Benedict with truffle sauce. (It was good, could’ve been better. I was still super hungry after eating. It felt like it was just a snack, very bite size) Drinks - green juice & grapefruit. Both were freshly squeezed, and I recommend the green juice.

Day 2 - (I thought it was all going to be smaller because the day before) got the skirt, steak dish, and the avocado toast. Both were good, definitely recommend one of these over the eggs Benedict. My favorite was the skirt steak bowl. It was really good & filling.

Dinner- Everything was pretty good. My favorite was the pork Ryan and different sauces. My favorite sauce was the hot one that was orange tinted. The two things I did not really like were the corn, had kind of a weird taste, and the ceviche it was really fishy and did not taste fresh. The meatballs were OK, I don’t recommend, they were a little dry and just didn’t have a great...

I made a reservation for an anniversary dinner with my partner, when we arrived at the restaurant we were told to sit anywhere. I was hopeful for something as I added a note it was an anniversary dinner. We ordered our drinks and they took quite a while considering we were the only ones in the restaurant. We got the guacamole, that says made table-side, but it wasn’t. For dinner I ordered the lobster tacos, they were overcooked and rubbery. The server came by and started clearing our plates, I said we weren’t done and he took them anyways. When the bill came, there was a connection error on the machine so we went closer to the bar to pay and the server said it must be the card when the machine kept saying “connection error”. It came across rude. Overall not a good experience, I would recommend finding another...
