You will not be disappointed, Amazing Pasta and food in a small chef owned hidden gem Family and I have been coming to La Alcaravea for 20 plus years. Over the years this restaurant has been solid. The pastas are always perfectly cooked including their assortment of in house freshly made pastas. Their wine list is decent, and prices not over exaggerated which is greatly appreciated. With a wide assortment of Mediterranean dishes and daily specials they are assured to have something that will fulfill your cravings. This trip we had the mussels in white wine sauce. They happily provided an alternate that excluded lactose and the dish was amazing. For entrees we had my favorite, John’s Pasta which is a pasta with a spicy, white cheese and cream sauce, with a bunch of perfectly seared large scallops. This dish alone is worth coming here and it is NOT on the menu but you can order by requesting the waiter. Other entrees this time included not on the menu a fresh pasta with pomodoro sauce with fresh seafood (mussels, squid, clams, scallops, and shrimp) which was perfectly done, full of flavor, and seafood was perfectly cooked which is not easily found. We had a Pita Pizza which was excellent, and a lasagna which was ordered from the menu, also delicious. For deserts we had two orders of fresh cannelloni which was divine, freshly made crepes, and my wife due to her lactose intolerance, ordered fresh strawberries, again not on the menu and the chef actually went to find fresh strawberries to accommodate. That is service! Service overall this experience was very good and we were all. Entry happy with service and food. After 20 plus years Alcaravea remains one of our favorite go to restaurants in Cabo. If your are in the mood for great pasta, or Mediterranean cuisine give La Alcaravea the opportunity. You will not be...
Read moreThis spot was recommended to me by a lengendary foodie- and it did not disappoint! Wow!! The food and service were AMAZING ! I was told to ask for the AC area when I made the reservation and that was a great tip as only the back of the restaurant is AC and has a door so you can't see the back area from the street. Every dish was 5 star - amazing doesn't fully justify the food. It started with bread - the best table bread I've had in Cabo - Casa Martin is now in 2nd place for table bread. The chef himself came out and took our order, which was incredible . I asked for mushrooms in my fettuccine alfedo, and he suggested spinach as well-It was so kind of him to customize my order . The noodles are made fresh daily, and you could tell! My boyfriend ordered the catch of the day and it was easily big enough for 2 and he said "Living in Cabo for 1 year now and this is the best fish dish I have had yet "I wish I had taken a picture as the presentation of this dish was amazing also. It had shrimp on the top and perfectly cooked vegies- he loved it ! Everything was perfect, the service was impeccable. You could feel the love and pride in this restaurant experience, which made our night even more special! 5 star dining all the way. We can't wait to go back and try their lunch menu and deserts! Highly...
Read moreNot to give anyone FOMO but if you have not dined here you are missing out. The calamari was the freshest we had ever had. The catch of the day arrabiata was fresh, the sauce was incredibly delicious and served with a medley of perfectly cooked organic vegetables. My son had the catch of the day Mediterranean style with pasta and was equally delighted and impressed. My fiancé had the filet minion medallions which he said was tender like butter and could be cut with a butter knife. The Tiramisu was yummy. The owner and chef, Enrique, greeted us like family and server Ricardo could not have been more attentive. Nice music and atmosphere. We left full and very happy. There should be a line out the door here every single day. It’s that good. We will definitely be back. Ciao and...
