Han kook Sarang — Restaurant in Pokhara

As a foreigner visiting Nepal , specifically Pokhara this was hands down the worst experience I’ve had . We arrived around 7:20 pm and ordered three soups and a lemon ginger tea for our friend, who wasn’t feeling well. We politely asked several times if they could at least bring the tea first, but it didn’t come until much later. Other customers who arrived after us were served before us, and after waiting 35 minutes, we still had no tea. When we asked to speak to the owner, it took two tries to even get the server to contact him. Honestly, this was the most disappointing birthday dinner I’ve ever had. The owner did not even come to talk to us. We went up to the kitchen to talk. He had excuses were weak, saying our order wasn’t placed because they had larger groups to attend to. Few years back when I visited Hangkook Sarang, I was blown away by the amazing atmosphere, incredible food, and top-notch service. That experience stayed with me, which is why I was excited to order from your place again. But honestly, I am beyond disappointed. The tteokbokki was nowhere near the quality I remember—it lacked flavor and was simply not enjoyable. On top of that, the side dish selection was extremely limited, which only added to my frustration. The kimbab was decent, but that’s not enough to make up for my overall dissatisfaction. We placed an order through a food delivery app and were told over the phone that it would arrive in about an hour. However, it was slightly delayed but that’s not the main issue. What truly shocked and disturbed us was finding a cockroach in one of the dishes, specifically, kimchi jjigae. My sister was horrified and immediately threw the entire meal away.
