Title: Extremely Disrespectful Service Experience
I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at a restaurant in Amsterdam, and I must say it was one of the most disrespectful encounters I've ever had as a customer. I felt compelled to share my feedback to shed light on the lack of empathy and disregard for customers at this establishment.
First and foremost, the moment a group of bloggers arrived, the staff's attention shifted completely. It was as if our presence no longer mattered. For a staggering two hours, we were left unattended without any explanation or apology for the inconvenience caused. Imagine sitting in a restaurant, eagerly awaiting service, only to be utterly ignored.
To add insult to injury, after the excruciating wait, we were finally informed that we would need to wait an additional 30 minutes before being served. This was the final straw. Not only did we lose a significant amount of time during our precious family vacation, but we were also denied any form of apology or acknowledgement for the disrespectful treatment we endured.
Such blatant disregard for customers is simply unacceptable. As patrons, we expect to be treated with basic decency and respect, regardless of who else is dining at the establishment. The lack of empathy displayed by the restaurant staff was disheartening and left a sour taste in our mouths, figuratively and literally.
I strongly believe that it is my responsibility to warn others about this abysmal dining experience. Therefore, I highly discourage anyone from visiting this restaurant, as their blatant disrespect towards customers is indicative of a larger problem within their establishment.
To the management and staff of this restaurant, I urge you to reflect on the importance of customer satisfaction and the impact of your actions on people's experiences. It is crucial to treat all customers fairly and provide equal attention and service. A sincere apology and a commitment to improving customer relations would be a step in the right direction.
In conclusion, my family and I were deeply disappointed by the disrespectful treatment we received at this restaurant. It was an unfortunate reminder that not all establishments prioritize customer satisfaction. As consumers, we have the power to choose where we spend our hard-earned money, and I sincerely hope that other potential customers take this review into consideration before visiting this...

We were seated by one nice young lady, who provided us each with a food menu and a beverage menu, and left us to look over the options. The same lady came back to take our order, and when we went to order food, were told they were only serving "Bar bites," and asked "has anyone talked to you about the menu?" As she was the only one we'd interacted with... the answer was no, but no big deal. We quickly readjusted our order, and I pointed to the bar platter with 3 veggie items, but apparently she thought I'd pointed to the "regular one" (changing my order from 2 veggie dishes to a platter full of meat options). A second, rather unpleasant, lady brought the food over when ready.
First, I noticed that the bao are not actually standard bao, but more of a mantou, with what should have been the stuffing served in a separate dish for you to spread ON the bun. No big deal overall, but should not be advertised as a bao. Second, when I recognized that I was being served a platter of meat, I attempted to injerject into the unpleasant woman's explanation of the dish to explain that I had requested the veggie one, but she just kept talking over me, and then rudely snapped "this is what you ordered, the bar platter." Thinking perhaps I had misread the menu, I asked if there was an option with kimchi dumplings and an edamame salad, and the woman again spoke over me, insisting to know who had taken our order, then stormed off to "talk to her manager" and see if I could get the non-meat option.
After 5 mins or so, the same lady came back over to say that she "was getting 2 different stories, and didn't know who to blame," and when I said that's okay, we'll just take the bill for what we had so far and call it a night, she insisted that she'd "fixed it, and the food was already being made." She was seemingly more concerned with who was to blame for the mixup, and letting me know that I was wrong for daring to ask to not have a platter of meat, and just would NOT stop talking over me/trying to explain her frustration.
After all was said and done, the food ended up being underseasoned...
Read moreIt was my second time visiting this restaurant . I was out for a day and was kind’a impressed with their chicken salad and had a good conversation with one of their staff. I have seen on the menu that they too serve my favorite champagne “ Veuve Cliqot”. Since I am a champagne addict, I decided to comeback the day after and thought I would try a glass before setting off to go shopping 🛍️, after all this day was meant for my self, a treat! I was welcomed by a waitress (who also do the bar keeping). I have told her, I wanted to have a drink and a bite. She immediately told me either to sit on the bar or gave me a low table which is located next to a façade: a pole between 2 windows and has no view at all and dark. I requested one of the many available tables for two people beside the window but she was stern with her voice telling me that they’re all reserved and has no place for me, quite early for a dinner reservation and I was not intending to stay for long. She was not very friendly ,looked beaten up with her look and untidy. I decided to sit at the bar after all and ordered my favorite drink champagne. I observed the open bottle she took out of the drinks fridge and saw no cover. In my mind this is not going to be good with the freshness and bubbles. There it was, the glass of champagne is served to me but no bubbles! I told her the bottle was old, she refused and said it’s not. I told her I know what I am talking about as this is my favorite drink and we go up and down the champagne area to visit, learn about the champagne and do whole sale. Then after she went to the Manager. The Manager came and got a glass to taste the said open bottle. He refused and told me it was alright. I told him again that I know what I was talking about, but only gave me a strange look and nod his head disapproving my opinion. Right there and there, since I don’t feel like having a discussion with him, I told him, I am not accepting this drink and wanted to have my bill for the extra bottle of sparkling water, which he offered that I need not pay even though I told him I want to. Sad, that they don’t have ears for their customers and have no ability to be creative. Bad.. bad.....
