You first walk in and are not only greeted by lovely staff but also the nice ambient country music . Live sports on the TV and a nicely dim lit intimate environment . A small restaurant but made to feel spacious and not crowding over other people's tables. Tonight we had ordered the tacos, a side of loaded cheese fries and the Flintstone steak. The tacos were amazing and juicy full of flavour . The chips on their own have a perfect seasoning blend on top elevating the experience . The loaded cheese fries were also great, same seasoning on top smothered in loads of cheese really living up to the name of loaded cheese fries. My only word of advice is eat the loaded fries first as once they cool down they become solid from the cheese . To me the Star of the show was the 400gm Flintstone steak . Not my first time having one of these bad boys here, but after the first time dining here I knew that these were the best steaks I will ever eat . Perfectly seasoned, seared and cooked through every bite . Topped off with the outstanding jus that accompanied the steak the only thing I would recommend is getting an extra jus , this just tops the steak off . If you come along you will not be disappointed by any means . The great food the atmosphere and of course the friendly accommodating staff. This will become a regular and sure to try the other amazing looking items...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOverall a good experience, we were welcomed as soon as we walked in the door and seated. Had to order our drinks at bar and did the same for the food but then got seated to do it there. Was around a 20-25 min wait for food which is excellent considering. The music was way too loud loud and felt like we were at a bar competing with that noise to have a normal conversation. After about 15-20 mins the music was turned down to a more reasonable level where we didnāt feel like we were shouting. On that note, great music. Now to the food. We ordered the platter for the both of us wife and I. The brisket was top notch. The ribs were hit and miss but positive overall. The chips were amazing. The sausage was damn near perfect. Unfortunately the chicken breast was dry and overcooked but still edible. The chicken wings were a bit chewy and hard to get meat off so we didnāt eat them. Also the ciabatta garlic bread was very chewy but had amazing flavour. So good overall considering the multiple meats presented. When we went to pay the bill the staff asked about our experience and I told them this exact thing and they took it on board and were happy to receive this feedback and improve the experience overall. I would recommend going and we...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were really disappointed with our experience at Texas. We had booked a table for 12 people two weeks in advance, yet upon arrival we were told we would be split across three separate tables ā and two of our party were even expected to sit with strangers.
Service was disorganised. When drinks finally arrived, a vodka Red Bull was served without the vodka (though this was later corrected). We also had two different waiters, one of whom didnāt seem to know what dishes they were bringing to the table. To add to the frustration, several smaller groups who arrived after us received their meals much earlier than we did.
It was also disappointing to see a special menu on the table advertising Guinness, only to be told they didnāt have any available. One of our guests who ordered a full rack of ribs asked for a bowl of warm water with lemon for their hands but was told this wasnāt something they did ā which felt surprising for a restaurant serving ribs.
As for the food, it was just āokay.ā Some people enjoyed their meals, while others were underwhelmed. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations, especially for a large booking...
