We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Santa Justa Lisboa from July 10th to July 13th, 2025, and I am writing this review both for future travelers and as a heartfelt thank you to the hotel staff.
Location: The hotel’s location is absolutely unbeatable. Right in the heart of Lisbon, it made exploring the city on foot incredibly easy and enjoyable.
Customer Service: Even prior to our arrival, I was in contact with the hotel regarding tours and activities. Their customer service was excellent from the very beginning — prompt, kind, and extremely helpful. They provided valuable guidance even before our trip began.
Arrival & Stay: Upon arrival, the warm welcome we received immediately set the tone for a wonderful stay. Every day, we were pleasantly surprised with small gifts left in our room: one day chocolates, another day pastries, and even a bottle of wine — thoughtful gestures that made our experience feel personal and special.
Staff: The front desk team was consistently polite, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. They went above and beyond in helping us arrange a memorable tour, both within Lisbon and beyond. The tour they recommended exceeded our expectations. Additionally, they facilitated our car rental from Lisbon to Porto at a very competitive rate, which was much appreciated.
Room & Facilities: The room itself was immaculate, quiet, and perfectly maintained, with a fully equipped and modern bathroom. Every detail reflected comfort and quality. At no point did we feel like just hotel guests — every return felt like coming home, greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality by the entire staff.
One small moment on our last day truly captured the spirit of this hotel’s service: as we were checking out, I noticed a little girl in the lobby crying. Hugo, one of the front desk staff, kindly approached her and her sister, offering them a small gift — I believe it was a treat of some kind — which instantly lifted their spirits. It’s these small gestures of kindness and attention that make a lasting impression and show how much they truly care for their guests. Special Thanks: I will personally share with the hotel a list of all the staff members who, during our stay, provided outstanding customer service and made our experience so memorable. Bernardo Coelho, One of the best staff members at this hotel in terms of knowledge, customer service, assistance, and overall care. He provided us with exceptional service, especially when it came to arranging tours and car rental. Nadiya ( welcoming ) Xavier and Hugo ( following all the emails and our requests before arrival and did the amazing jobs). In summary, Hotel Santa Justa Lisboa truly exemplifies hospitality at its finest. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lisbon, whether for the location, the service, location and the...

Read moreMy family and I stayed at Hotel Santa Justa for four nights as part of our vacation to Portugal. This is really an excellent hotel that felt premium and luxurious.
The rooms and amenities were well thought out, designed and laid out with good use of space. We did not feel cramped at all in our suite with a family of four as the room felt very spacious and modern. The included free mini bar drinks with cold beer, coke, sparking water and water were especially welcomed after a day in the sweltering August heat and were restocked every day.
The hotels also had its own restaurant (the Elevator) which we didn't try but we enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the food options available every morning all of which were fresh (especially the fruits) and delicious.
The hotel staff were all very welcoming and friendly and very generous with us, we definitely appreciated their efforts and hardwork at making our stay great.
The location was also a highlight, being placed on the north side of Baixa where you have easy and convenient access to one of Lisbon's most historic and vibrant areas, while just being a stones throw from a vast number of historical monuments and only several minutes walk from the Metro, busses and trams.
At the same time, as incredible as its location is, it is also a slight bit of downside if you're someone who prefers a bit more peace and quiet. Being in Baixa there is still some night life in the area so there will be a fair bit of noise, sometimes into the later hours well past midnight. Also, the street of the hotel entrance is lined with restaurants who have staff standing by trying to get you to eat there everytime you walk by, which means you have to essentially run a "gauntlet" everytime you enter or leave the hotel.
Now, none of these are the fault of the hotel at all as they cannot control these factors but it is important for anyone thinking of staying in Baixa to consider. With that said, Hotel Santa Justa is a lovely place to stay in Lisbon and I would highly...
