A fusion ramen "food stall" inspired restaurant, selling only noodles (either in soup or dried/fried) with a choice of meat (pork, chicken, seafood), a few side staples and drinks. It is perfect for a quick meal.
Food is good tasting, without being fancy nor sophisticated. It isn't gastronomically puritan either, and mixes chinese and japanese names in the menu, serves japanese beer and has indian decorative elements in the wall -- a balance in the multiplicity, not in the pureness.
The restaurant is in a ground floor, in a traditional pombaline arched space with big windows. It is accessible by wheelchair.
The space is nicely decorated, avoiding the traditional chinese or japanese paraphernalia and gimmicks: comfortable modern chairs, plain wall tiles, straightforward cabinets for drinks, open kitchen (where asian ingredients and brands and a few decorative items are enough to show you're in a chinese (?) restaurant). Here and there an indian object (a previous store leftover?). It is, nevertheless a plain comfortable dining space.
Service is efficient, by a non-portuguese speaking waiter that is trying to cope with too many tables. There is table cleaning between guests using an agressive product that have certainly wiped out any virus in both the table and my nose. Hopefully they will calibrate the amount of cleaning product used in the future.
This is one of a chain of restaurants popping in several...

Read moreI enjoyed the tofu ramen very much, and the lady who served us was very friendly. However, we were not told, and neither was it visibly clear to anybody, that the restaurant does not accept card payments. Rather odd, considering I was convinced that I saw the same waitress holding a card reader earlier in the evening; perhaps I made an error but I wouldn’t be so sure of that. The sign on their front door stating “cash only” is minute. When you get to paying for your food, they suggest you use the ATM outside their restaurant. It is a Euronext ATM charging extortionate amounts for cash withdrawal. I decided to do a little bit of research and found out that, because they accommodate Euronet’s machine in their store window, they receive some profits from this. So, it seems to me that they are “cash only” in order to force customers without cash to use an ATM, ultimately benefiting THEMSELVES (but at a cost to others!). I can never value a business that chooses to abuse its customers. Extremely disappointed; I ended up paying an additional ~20% of the cost of the meal because of this. Disgusting behaviour...
