We were going to this place as a last dinner before we left the following day. We were greeted by a guy at the bottom who said he would radio up to see if there was any space m. He didn’t get a response for a few minutes so said it was best for us to go up and someone will greet us up there. The ascent is not for the faint hearted as it’s about 5/6 flights of stairs before the top. When we got to the top we waited to be greeted. Beating in mind there was a waiter sat right beside us sorting cutlery, no one came to ask us. Another couple walked up and went straight in and sat down, so we attempted the same. But we weren’t brought any menus or even greeted. At this point we thought maybe it wasn’t table service until another guest went up to the waiter (who wasn’t busy - just wandering round) to ask if we had to go up to the bar to order. He declined and reassured that it was table service. At this point we’d been here a good 10 15 mins so we...
Read moreMy wife and I are recently vacationed in Portugal-Lisbon and Porto. Obviously, we ate out every meal, and we came across the rooftop in Lisbon based on a recommendation. It takes a lot of effort to get to the top of the restaurant. It’s about five flights of steep stairs And it’s not a task for an elderly person. But once we got to the top, it was well worth it. The views were spectacular. The restaurant is well decorated with a lot of plants and a lot of cool pieces of art.. Tables are nice and spaced out, plenty of room. Our server was excellent, she was young and sweet and funny and considerate. We chose to eat several apps or tapas and they were all very good. Wine selection was a little limited, but very good. We passed on dessert as we were on a gelato binge in town.. Whether you’re a tourist or local, we found this place to be excellent and highly...
Read moreFirstly reservations are required for dinner service and it is very easy to reserve via online. If you are coming up for drinks I believe reservations are not necessary. The rooftop view is quite amazing, but just so your aware the closer seats to the “balcony” are for the patrons there for drinks while the dinner customers are a bit further. This didn’t affect our experience in a negative way.
Just an FYI: there are many stairs to walk up in order to reach the rooftop as the elevator is out of order. We didn’t mind, but I’d like to give other future customers the heads up.
We ordered the following: bruschetta pizzaiola, gnocchi alla norma and rigatoni alla carbonara. The meals were tasty, but we found the overall menu to be quite overpriced for the quantity. The service, however, was...
