We went there for dinner and had our table reservation three days before the day, as it was our wedding anniversary. My husband made the reservation there based on the good reviews and also they are among very few italian restaurants that offer indoor candle light dinner. The staff were all very friendly and really helping. Staff Alberto recommended few dishes for us after asking every detail of out tastes. Later we realised that those recommendations made our day. He, along with other staff members took care of our orders. We ordered pizza arabica & pappardelle paper moon for main course, quinoa shrimp salad , exotic & frozen strawberry for drinks (we asked for non alcoholic wine, but was not available) and tiramisu for dessert. Every single dish had authentic taste, quality and freshness. No wonder the restaurant was crowded. We loved the food - pizza arabica is a MUST TRY!!! While making the reservation my husband mentioned about our wedding anniversary and they gave us a complimentary dessert with wishes written. Further, a free registration as privilege member in spg hotel group was given. With this membership we availed a good discount on the bill. The membership will also helps us to avail various promotions over 1600 hotels world wide. Thank you so much La spiga for such a wonderful dinner experience!!! We will...
Read moreImaginitive menu, poorly executed by a haphazardly patched up crew. The octopus required some real jaw muscle to get through and should have come with a advisory warning. The buratta was straight out of the box with very little else on the plate. Pizza was flattened with a rolling pin with no cornicioni. Seriously papa johns could do a better job. The bolognese however took the award for the worst execution of the dish iv seen at a fine dining restaurant… EVER. The pasta was fresh made but i would have taken something out of the box aver that dried, lumpy excuse of an effort, swimming in a pool of oil and overly seasoned meat. When we pointed this out to the team they compensated with 2 free desert. Both of which were well presented but none of us on the table could get past the first bite. The chocolate mouse was extremely bitter with nothing to cut the heavyness. The strawberry panna cotta was extremely sour with nothing to balance the acidity. The wine options served by the glass were shamefull. When management tries to makeup for a bad meal with free desert and comping dishes is even more shameful. The chef should have come out to face the criticism. But im sure he/she was just a cog in the wheel of a hotel led fnb team that was poorly taught to execute a menu designed by some chef in milan!...
