Very cool restaurant and bar in Madrid. We saw the large number of reviews and decided to make a reservation for lunch. Honestly for lunch, it's probably not necessary to make a reservation, as it wasn't busy. They also open at 1PM which is a bit late, and don't allow you to come in even a minute early. We got seated in the main room while you could also get seated in the garden. We were close to the washroom and there was a bit of a weird scent at first, not sure if we got used to it or if it went away. We ordered most of the highlights - the burrata (€15), crunch chicken bao (€7), kung fu bao (€7) and scallops (€17). The food is definitely on the pricey side, especially for the baos. However the taste was quite good, especially for the burrata. I'd recommend ordering a bread basket to pair with it. The scallops were tasty but not sure if it's worth €17 for 6 as the majority of the bite you're taking is sauce and not scallop. We also ordered the virgin Kraken (€13) and pink sangria (€8) for drinks. The sangria was amazing and I'd 100% recommend. The virgin kraken, for my boyfriend who doesn't drink alcohol, is advertised as similar to a pina colada but honestly not very similar. Not sure if it was worth the price since it's the same with or without alcohol. Overall I'd recommend visiting, but not for lunch. I'm sure a lot of the appeal of this bar comes from how trendy and buzzing it is at night. The food is a lot better than you'd get from another bar. We paid around €70 in total which is quite expensive for lunch but you're partially paying for the hype and cool vibes.

A very interesting, vibrant, and tasty spot that I stumbled upon when walking around looking for some lunch. I didn't even notice the outside when I walked in, but definitely noticed it on the way out. The service was excellent. Free glasses of water provided without even having to ask for it. Their cocktails are served in unique glasses/containers (I was hoping the size of the container would reflect a larger volume of cocktail, but I don't think it does). I had the Me Quita El Craneo (guy with a beard and pierced tongue), which was excellent, but a little on the higher end of price points (13 Euros) that I am used to paying for cocktails (not outrageous, but more than I am willing to spend for more than 1 or 2 cocktails). I, therefore, switched to the red sangria (it comes in pink and red) for 8 Euros for a generous sized glass. For a meal, I selected the Kubak Joselito (13 Euros), which was fantastic. If you like bacon/ham, you need to try this dish. Basically, it came out on a hot plate that looked like it was full of puffed rice cereal. The waiter then pours a jar of liquid all over the puffed rice, which makes everything start popping. The dish is basically puffed rice in an emulsion of chorizo with shiitake mushrooms and some bok choy. It was amazing, but definitely not vegan or vegetarian or kosher, so do not order if you do not like ham.

Went for a date night with my wife and was completely shocked by the horrible service. Completely ruined our night. I was planning to come here for a while now, and with so many good reviews I didn't think I could have such a bad experience - oh was I wrong! First, the hostess mentioned they canceled out reservation cause we didn't come - while we were waiting in line to be seated (and some useless information on getting a notification I will be covered, but that I really won't be). After seated, the asked asked to move to another table, which we agreed, and brought as small drink for that but only later we found out we were seated right next to the service room where staff goes in and our every minute, bringing a hot sauna flow from the kitchen/pantry. The When the waiter arrived, we started ordering, and after I said I'll choose my drink later, the waiter disappeared and came back 10 min later even though I said I would like to finish ordering the food. After we ordered the food, I asked I I can have one of the cocktails done with an alternative Gin because the particular one on the menu makes me feel bad. He really didn't seem to knkw anything. He came back with the cocktail, said he wasn't sure if they can change it as it's already prepared (seriously?! ) and said I should "see if I like it". Then he just disappeared and I was left around 15 minutes at the table with a drink I didn't order. I then told this to another waiter, the called the manager and I just asked simply - I just asked if I can change the gin, tell me I can't and I order another one. And I did. Took them 15 more minutes to bring the other cocktail when we we already done eating and my wife done with her drink. Food was decent but heavily overpriced! Blexcept the Bao, that was bad. 3 eur per croqueta, really? Summary - overhyped place, very poorly managed, worst service I had in Madrid, and we'll overpriced. Won't be back! Value for money 1/10

Honestly this place would be a 5 star location if all the people were like Victor the bartender. That man was fantastic and he was easily amazing - great drinks, great suggestions, a wonderful human being. This review has nothing to do with him and everything to do with our overall experience at this place. First of all - the hostess was RUDE. We walked in, without a reservation, and were told they were too busy to seat us but they could seat us at the bar if something opens up. Totally fine, we get it, not their fault for being busy. Now maybe there was a mistranslation or something but we just asked if we could put our name down on a waiting list or something and we would return when they could accommodate us. The hostess snapped at us and said, no, you can wait or leave we won't seat you. And then we saw the bar open up, and she literally offered it to 2 people that came in AFTER us. Then when we did sit down at the bar we were lucky to have Victor to interact with who again was AWESOME, but then we had a waiter - Simeone who literally was trying to rush us out the WHOLE time. We even told him we were only going to get a couple drinks and a small bite so it wasn't like we were going to be there for hours on end. And then at the end when we asked Victor for some recommendations of bars/places we had heard of, he was cut off by Simeone in his response and they gave us cards of locations (they are affiliated with) to go to. Talk about a total scam/tourist trap move. Hated, HATED the experience here. The drinks and food were great. The people SUCKED - except Victor, Victor was great. My suggestion - save your time and money. There are many places in Madrid with good food and drinks - don't waste your time on a spot where the people are rude.

The food was average. Not bad, just not what I had expected. Eaten better for far less. However, what secured them the ‘one star’ was the service. We ordered different dishes, but the food arrived really randomly. First came one dish for my wife. Then a bit later both dishes for my daughter. Then some later again the last dish for my wife and the first for me arrived. Then it was just me waiting for the last dish. 15 minutes passed. So I asked the waiter if the last dish was coming. He assured me it was on it’s way. More time passed, and I asked if it was coming, and he replied again ‘yes’. When I had waited for more than 30 minutes, I asked with a firm tone: ‘Seriously. I have waited for 30 minutes now. When will my dish come?!?’ The the waiter, which was the same that took our order, looked confused. ‘What did your order?’ And when I told him what it was, he realised he hadn’t taken the order correct. Then I immediately asked for the bill. He apologised and disappeared for five minutes. Then he came back with bill and had brought a dessert. First of all, I declined we wanted a dessert when we placed the order. Second of all, we had waited 30 minutes because he couldn’t take the order correct, and the he thinks he can buy me off with a f**king dessert?!?!? I was so mad I didn’t even wanted to discuss it. The should have offered to take at least 25% off the bill if I should have felt it was a proper compensation. So I left the place hungry and mad. So if you care for good service, avoid this place. Wouldn’t come back if they offered me a free meal. No value for money on the food either. Completely overrated 👎🏼

Went on a Tuesday for a day trip to Madrid from Valencia with my friend. We were seated immediately and met with quite friendly waiters, who are also fairly attentive. They have menu options in both English and Spanish which was quite convenient. The food is named in an interesting and somewhat confusing manner and the menu is more aesthetic than convenient to read and understand what you are ordering, however the waiters provide information upon request about the food. The decor and atmosphere was relaxing and unique. I ordered chicken with a "salad" as well as shared some fries and it was lovely. I also enjoyed my wine and thought I'd look for it at the store next time I go and the waiter brought it over to let me take a picture. Would definitely return, though at the end they gave an obviously orchestrated marketing spiel to get me and my friend to go to another restaurant, which was odd since I mentioned I was just traveling through. Overall pretty nice experience, thank you all!
