Nosotros...

The ambiance and restaurant itself was nice. Bottom line up front: This place is overpriced for the quality of food.

There were two glaring issues: The “ramen” seemed to be instant ramen. This would be pretty disrespectful and offensive if that is indeed the case. Can’t say for certain because we didn’t see the kitchen but I’d say it’s pretty darn close (having had my fair share of instant ramen over the years). We were automatically served appetizers after being seated. We did not ask for/order these. I already noticed on the menu that there was an item called “appetizers and service” and when I asked about this, the server confirmed that this was the item…but did not ask nor acknowledge that this came without being asked. I find this practice dishonest seeing as we ended up seeing this charged on the bill & the other parties in the restaurant at the time did not have this happen.

There’s plenty of other good food in the city. We have been to amazing kbbq places around the world & this one...

Yakiniku Rikyu delivers an exceptional Japanese BBQ experience in Madrid, with standout dishes that showcase authentic flavors and quality ingredients. The wagyu beef was the star of the meal - perfectly marbled, tender, and melting in your mouth with each bite. The chicken was equally impressive, well-seasoned and grilled to perfection with a lovely char that enhanced the natural flavors.

Beyond the grilled meats, the bibimbap was excellent, featuring a wonderful mix of fresh vegetables, perfectly seasoned rice, and a harmonious blend of flavors that came together beautifully. The udon noodle soup was fantastic - the broth was rich and flavorful, while the noodles had the perfect texture and consistency.

The service was fast and attentive, with staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and ensured our dining experience was seamless from start to finish. I highly recommend the wagyu beef, chicken, bibimbap, and udon noodle soup for anyone looking to experience quality Japanese...

A very chic atmosphere and a great service as well. All the staff was reactive and served like in a South Asian restaurant. Politeness, rapidity and efficiency. I put 3 stars for the dish I have taken which were an udon ramen and a mochi cheesecake. The udon barely contained udon and the quality of the udon was not that exceptional. The udon were not tender and fluffy. I have tasted incredible homemade udons in Paris before and you can't forget the texture neither the taste. The broth was also lacking of taste. The meat was mostly full of fat elements, which was a total disappointment. I was very disappointed to be frank. The mochi was okay, but I was expecting as well a traditional mochi. Not a version with the ice cream which is for me not the real one. A japonese baker proposes in Anton Martin true japonese pastries she makes and the difference is huge in terms of taste and quality. If you order a strawberry mochi, you get the plain fruit inside the mochi.

A-MAZE-ING (purposely misspelled for effect). The food is D-licious and the service is IMPECCABLE. Absolutely incredible. The ambiance is great-they really make you feel special and they tend to your every need. They make it their mission for you to have a sensational meal and a great time. Literally, we forgot to tend to our veggies (it’s a grill your on your own bbq restaurant) and they were on top of it to make sure that everything was cooked to perfection. I can’t wait to be back in Madrid to come back- I consider myself lucky to have found this gem! Totally recommend!!!! Sorry for the lack of photos- I’ve should’ve taken more, but I was too involved with the food! I recommend all the veggies and the entraña and costillar- absolutely incredible! Also GREAT wine menu! And also the bathrooms make you want to like really need a bathroom, which means that the kitchen must be super fancy- because I always base the kitchen on the bathroom, so fancy fancy!!!
