first, the Imperial Family ate here, so... You know, that's a pretty good sign.
The mixture of Japanese foods is eclectic. You can order takoyaki and flounder in one sitting... But don't let that fool you. This is incredible Japanese food. I ordered several items a la carte, and everything came in the order I expected. This is the first positive sign. Many restaurants will just throw the food at you in a random order, but not here. I ordered... sashimi salad goma dofu (perfect, surprised it was here and perfectly subtle) horenso gomaae (a little sweet for me) flounder sashimi (I wish they had a bit more engawa, but that's just me being greedy) tempura (shrimp, kisu, kabocha, shiitake, carrots, renkon. Served at perfect hot crisp temp, insides not overdone at all) wagyu steak (oh god) chawanmushi (a nice mixture of homey ingredients with plump shrimp and scallop) x2 onigiri. Ume and tarako for the classics
All this was 5500 Baht. Incredible price for such high quality.
The service here is exceptionally fast. This could be a positive or negative, so I recommend ordering just a few plates at a time to pace yourself...
