Torlente — Restaurant in Si Lom Subdistrict

First of all, they don’t give the name or show you the bottle of the wine they serve by glass. The straight-faced waitress got even unkinder to me and to my wife for me asking that and sending the glass back for them keeping the information as a secret. I have no doubt that it is the restaurant’s policy as for they actually give cheap wine under the name of “Italian wine”. By the way, they serve wine in liquor glasses. After that I wanted to order one of the Italian liquors but they were out of it. Moreover, their ice-cream is just frozen syrup. I mean what kind of Italian restaurant is this? From the Thai employees to only-Thai customers, I can tell that it is just a Thai establishment serving some Italian stuff (for really high prices though). The menu is not rich at all. They also keep the second room closed and make people sit next to each other at the entrance room even due to the pandemic. I wish I had the time to read some reviews here before stepping in...

Torlente is a delightful Italian restaurant that has been our go-to place for the past decade. What makes it truly special is that the food has remained consistently excellent throughout the years.

Our all-time favorite, the refreshing Tuna salad perfectly complements the delicious pizza bread. The mussel with tomato sauce is the ideal appetizer, and the Italian pan-fried sausage is always a treat. Each pasta dish we have tried has been outstanding, leaving us craving for more.

The desserts deserve a special mention as well. Indulging in Chocolate butter rum, Zuppa, and delightful ice cream is an absolute delight. The staff's friendly demeanor and the reasonable prices make Torlente our top choice for...

We tried this place because it was close to the hotel we were staying at! Wish I would’ve listened to some of these reviews. I figured how bad could it really be?. It was really bad. I almost vomited. I could not even try a second bite. It’s not fresh at all definitely a frozen microwaved dinner! Was very expensive too! The waitress knew we didn’t like it but never said a word to us or even asked if everything was ok! Please do yourself a favor stay away or waste 1500bht like we did! We ended up going around the corner a a little taco joint called La Lupita! Such good food and drink specials. Amazing...
