Beautiful Italian pub/restaurant with a great menu, wonderful beer, wine, and drinks selection, a friendly cheerful staff, and a warm and inviting ambiance. I've gotta say...the sandstone walls with the wood accents and the overstuffed sofas create a space you won't want to leave. But what about the food? It's as amazing as everything else. There were four of us and we all loved our meals. Maybe it's because it's been sourced locally? I don't know but we all thought it was the best Italian food we've had in the UK. (Sorry no food photos but it was beautifully plated.) Here's what we ordered if it helps you decide what to order; Rosemary seasoned Lamb Chops with roasted veggies and butternut squash, Beef Lasagna, Spaghetti Bolognese, and Risotto Verde. We also ordered the garlic cheese bread and the olive tray for starters. Sure wish we saved room for dessert. They looked delicious too. Stop in sometime. You won't be sorry. Buon appetito!

By far the best spaghetti arrabiatta I have tasted in a year!! You can truly feel the freshness of all their locally sourced ingredients right from cheese to tomato’s to even their basil and salad dressing. They have a board describing how all their ingredients are locally sourced within the beautiful Bourton on Water village and the restaurant itself is a quaint cottage with the trappings of the Cotswolds outside. The moment you step inside, it’s a refined aesthetic perfect for a family outing or special occasion. Prices are reasonable and there are a ton of gluten free and vegan options. Amazing service. Would really recommend this place!

We ate dinner at L'anatra which we pre booked. One of our party has dietary restrictions due to food intolerance and allergies. We chose L'anatra for their offer of gluten and dairy free options on the menu. There was an initial mix up with the order which could have resulted in illness, but this was rectified quickly by staff, with the chef taking the time to visit our table to confirm suitability of chosen dishes and ingredients. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Pizza highly recommended! Would definitely dine here again if in the area.

On Bank Holiday Monday, a road trip led us to the Cotswolds and an evening into Bourton on the Water and we were kindly granted the opportunity to pop in to L'anatra for evening deserts. 2 x Chocolate Brownies + Ice Cream and one Tiramisu for three people, with all ingredients sourced predominantly locally with a few from a further afield. The pictures speak for themselves. The brownies were delicious and the Tiramisu was fabulous. Highly recommended on desserts alone. Will visit again to sample the other items on the menus when bookings allow.
