A Culinary Adventure at Maximini Chinese Restaurant
Maxamini Chinese Restaurant recently took me on a delightful journey through the world of Chinese cuisine. From the moment the dishes arrived, it was clear that quality and flavor were top priorities.
Let's delve into the specifics:
Chicken in Chilli Sauce: This dish was a symphony of sweet and heat. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy, while the chilli sauce offered a delightful kick without overpowering the palate. Each bite was a delicious balance that left me wanting more.
Egg Fried Rice: This seemingly simple dish was pure comfort food perfection. The rice was fluffy and perfectly seasoned, with each fluffy grain absorbing the flavors of the other dishes on the table. It was the ideal accompaniment, neither bland nor overpowering.
Spicy Chicken Noodles: For those who crave a fiery adventure, the spicy chicken noodles did not disappoint. The noodles had a satisfying chew, and the chicken was plentiful and flavorful. The real star was the perfectly balanced spice level, offering a delicious heat that built gradually without being overwhelming.
Laksa (Prawn and Chicken): This rich and flavorful soup was a revelation. The broth was deeply satisfying, bursting with complex flavors. The prawns were plump and fresh, while the chicken added a delightful savory element. Every spoonful was a celebration of Southeast Asian cuisine.
Overall, Maximini Chinese Restaurant exceeded expectations. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Each dish had its own distinct character, yet they all came together to create a truly memorable dining experience. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or simply looking for a delicious and satisfying meal, Maximini is a must-try.

Read moreWe was met by staff who seemed confused, They sat us at a table with not enough seats. asked for another seat and they went outside to get one in the rain and expected us to use a wet seat. Resolved this they offered 2 bowls of nibbles which where quickly removed and then returned with 1 bowl. Ordered 3 mixed starters asking her clearly if there would be enough for 6. She agreed yes but when it came up everything was cut in half to make 6 except the chicken satay which only had 3 small sticks. As id specifically questioned and checked I was frustrated so quietly got up to chat to the manager. This lady needs to go on a customer training course. She was rude, and kept interrupting not listening to what I was saying and arguing, she could have sold more food if she just listened. Finally the food was bland and not very tasty. I've been eating this type of food for over 30 years so I think I have a fairly good idea. Considering all our issues they even had a cheek to still charge the service charge. All in all as local residence we are very very disappointed. If your not sure id recommend you...
Read moreA very disappointing meal, after my family and I had been so looking forward to going to a Halal Chinese and being able to sample the full menu. The food did not look, taste fresh, and the dishes had no real depth of flavour that you would expect from Chinese cuisine. We started with the Crispy Duck, for me the meat did not feel as if it had just been cooked, if felt stale. For the mains we had crispy chilli beef, had no spice and all I could real taste was the batter, i could not taste the beef; chicken in black bean sauce, the sauce was watery with no flavour; sweet and sour pawns, probably the best of the three dishes we had but distinctly average compared to my local Chinese. Service was adequate. Overall, I would rate my two local Chinese restaurants in Orpington better that this venue, and that is despite the fact that we are restricted to just the seafood/vegetarian dishes. I would say there is a market out there for a genuine Halal Chinese able to serve good authentic Chinese food, unfortunately for me Maximini in...
