Excellent experience. We had a reservation for 330pm on a Saturday.
WHEELCHAIR ♿ ♿ ACCESSIBLE: There is a a loading zone at the front door as well as a beautiful ramp that leads into the restaurant.
PARKING: You can park and pay at the Dimond Parking Authority lot across the street. It cost 14 bucks total for 2 hours, and we had reservations. (Those without reservations were being told that it would be a 1 hour wait)
SERVICE: The server was pleasant and attentive and made sure that our needs were taken care of as needed. Her name was Vivian.
FOOD: The Chicken Nachos and Artichoke Crab Dip kicked off our dinner. When appetizers were finished, the staff promptly swiped our dirtiest and brought us our main course. Halibut and CHIPS, baked Seafood Mac and Cheese, a Margherita Pizza, and a Cheese Steak with Steak Fries would be the treats for the diners. Yum!
I have been on a fruit and veggie diet, so you can imagine that I was stuffed in no time at all.
DESERT: And.....then came desert... 3 Haitian Vanilla Custurds (Creme Brule) and a chocolate mousse cheesecake.
ATMOSPHERE: The atmosphere became quite dark as the sun went down and the lights dimmed farther down in the restaurant.
RESERVATIONS: Make sure you get reservations and maybe wait until after 6 pm on the weekend when the Parking meters become free parking as it took every bit of 2 hours for our dining experience with a reservation.
EXTRA CREDIT: Oh.. ONE MORE THING....I included the pics of this..... the toilets in the men's room were lower than my knee caps. I don't know what some people would do with a toilet that low but I imagine it is not too fun to get back up off of. Lol!

UPDATE: 7-18-2025 I delivered products to this company for my employer yesterday. I've been thinking about going there for dinner. So I asked the guy if they would be busy tonight, and the manager said that Thursday they made $111,000 in total sales for the day. I tried to go there with my friend last and they said it would be at least an hour to be seated and the place was packed walking around the building it looks like there are like multi-level rooftop dining experiences that can be had and you can potentially have a view of Denali or Mount McKinley Mountain from those dining areas on a sunsetting night. man, I bet it is beautiful.
We went somewhere else to eat.
By the way, it was a Friday night at...
Read moreGreat great, great view, great staff and a great queuing system. So I have been to many places all over the world and had to wait for a good restaurant, but this place by far has one of the best queuing systems. They take your name down, and then text you when your table is ready. That is right, you can roam away from the restaurant and spend time at the water or walk interesting 4th ave. Gone are the days of those hand held buzzers that keep you tied to their block.
This place was packed when we went, and we had to wait an hour, which was well worth it. But if you don't want to wait for a dedicated table, are you able to walk the first floor and find an empty chair to snag and sit down an order. It's a great way to meet new people if you are up for sharing a meal with strangers. While you might think that is odd, considers thousands of people do it everyday while on a cruise.
The view from the upstairs is breath taking. Lets face it, the reason many tourists come to Alaska is the see the mountains and ocean. Well, you get to do both and have great food at the same time.
Now lets talk about the food. We love to try interesting and unique flavors from wherever we travel. So first up for us was the Yak Burger. It was so good and tasty, not to mention HUGE. Next up was the Elk Smash Burger. You talk about a juicy burger packed with a ton of flavor. Both came with a side of tatter tots, which to be honest were ho-hum. I am not really a big fan of kids food with my adult meal; yes, I do not think fries are just a kids food. Moving on to the next time, we had the spicy reindeer pizza. This pizza was warm, I wouldn't go so far as to say hot, but it definitely warmed the lips when you ate it. But it wasn't overpowering so you didn't enjoy the pizza. The wood fired pizza crust was delicious. Lastly we had the 50 State pizza. Again, the crust was fantastic and the pizza was great. I will be honest, the flavor was a little underwhelming and tested more like a generic meat pizza. But the combination of Mozzarella and Provolone cheese were fantastic.
We aren't drinkers so I can't speak to their many brewing options, but based on what I observed it appears they are very popular. We did have the taster of the Soda's and the 4 flavors were awesome.
Staff were great, and our server Chris did a great job of ensuring we were always well stocked with water and everything tasted good.
IF you are visiting Alaska you can't skip this place. Make a hole in your schedule to stop by and enjoy the awesome food, great staff and...
Read moreI’m not one to leave bad reviews, but this was without a doubt, the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. This restaurant came to us highly recommended which makes it even more disappointing. When we arrived, we put our name on the waitlist for the second floor and had appetizers and drinks on the first.
Once we were seated, we waited over 30 minutes without being greeted before we asked a manager if our table even had a server or what was happening. The manager stated that it was shift change (at 8:20pm) and it was a simple miscommunication and someone would be with us soon. We waited an additional 10 minutes before our server came up and apologized saying that our table was in an unassigned area, the hostess has neglected to tell anyone we needed a server, and that this problem was quite common there.
We then ordered our food, waited 30 minutes, and while our food was good, our server did not check in on us once while eating. If we had had any issues at all, we would not have been able to inform the server, since she didn’t check in on us until we had completely finished all of our food. Additionally, our drinks were never refilled, so thankfully the restaurant provided a water pitcher as none of our paid drinks (with free refills) were ever refilled. The manager did offer free desserts, which was a nice, small gesture.
Lastly, as we were leaving, I realized that we got out of the restaurant with barely 10 minutes left of our 3 hour parking we had paid for. I had planned to do 2 hours, but extended it by one in case we wanted to walk around or enjoy the view from the patio. Neither of which we were able to do, as by that point we just wanted to finally leave the restaurant.
Overall, if you plan to eat here, I’d recommend just sitting on the first floor as you can seat yourself without much wait and the servers actually care to check on you and have conversation with you other than just right after they are ringing you up and asking for a tip. I will not be returning as it took a planned night of fun and celebration with my friends and made it a borderline...
