We hosted a wedding reception at Urban Orchard for about 70 of our friends and family from around the country. Josie and the team were incredibly helpful, from early planning all the way through the event. They were organized and responsive in planning, arranged all of the details with the caterer, sound system and stage for the DJ, and photo booth. They already had the place perfectly set up when we arrived. The event was amazing. This is a beautiful setting for a party and they offered an incredible variety of delicious local ciders, draft beers, wine, and cocktails (some of which they pre-mixed for us on special request). Joe behind the bar was super friendly and kept everyone happy throughout the night. I couldn't be happier with the communication and execution of this event, and I would be thrilled to have another event here. Would give 6 stars if I could. Thanks so much, Urban Orchard, for...
Read moreI’ve walked by Urban Orchard half a dozen times and only went in the first time on my most recent trip to Asheville. Service was good and efficient despite having only 1 bartender, and the taproom is one of the larger ones in South Slope so there was a lot of room to social distance. The variety of ciders was excellent, they had standards and some more inventive ones—the bartender was very honest in navigating what we might like. They also have a fun “fire cider” menu of ciders made with a variety of hot peppers. We tried 2-3 of those and all were good. The scorpion pepper cider is NOT for the faint of heart, but might be fun to get one on a flight for the group to try a...
Read moreMy wife and I happened to spot this cidery as we were walking through the South Slope area of downtown Asheville. Boy were we happy to bump into this place! A great addition to the many breweries that this area is known for.
My wife is a huge fan of ciders. After trying the pick your own flight, she said this was one of the best cider experiences she has had. Sweet ciders, dry ciders, spicy ciders...you name it, they have it. In addition, they have a large assortment of beers as well for anyone who doesn't drink cider.
Vibrant and fun place with super friendly staff. Add in some comfy couches, tvs, shuffleboard, pool table and a ping pong table, and you have one fun spot all the way around! Dogs are welcome inside, which is a huge bonus to...
