I would leave a genuine review if I didn’t run into Mr. Curtis and his wife whom I now am aware, are the manager, and his confidant. I came today due to it being a black owned business and I was informed they gave out free ice cream once a year. Well, not only was I up for promoting black owned business I was hoping to invite the owners into my podcast due to them being a black owned business and I am tied into other organizations. I was very elated however, upon my arrival I didn’t see any management visible in uniform or anyone to let me know who was apart of Ben and Jerry’s so, after I DONATED to another company at Ben and Jerry’s called Strive, I approached to receive my ice cream of choice and to inform a staff member I love what they were doing and if I could sit at a table belonging to Ben and Jerry’s being well, I went the establishment & I would like to sit down if possible. The younger staff behind the counter said, “they weren’t sure but I could.” Shortly after conversing with the staff member a random woman to my knowledge at that time, was yelling at me to not speak to the kids behind the counter. An to address her husband that’s running things and to not speak to the staff because they are children and to address her husband the manager Curtis. 1.) I don’t work there and I didn’t feel that was appropriate. 2.) To address me in that manner was far from unnecessary. 3.) I didn’t comprehend as to who she felt she had the right to yell at? I didn’t appreciate it at all! Very unprofessional and I’m far from a child so I wasn’t sure where the aggression came from?! I am a very respectful young island (wahine) woman so I didn’t appreciate her approach AT ALL. Made me not ever want to come there. Then a man with something on his face yelled at me told me I couldn’t sit at Ben & Jerry’s table. Why if I’m donating and showing Ben & Jerry’s support? I was insulted to say the least. At this point I want to discuss my situation with the owner not Curtis or anyone at this location unless...

Read moreI really enjoyed the ice scream from this place. The people are nice , but could be more informative and supportive for new customers. Just understanding the menu and how to order. It’s not very clear.
Although I enjoyed the ice scream, the waffle cones (the big one with Oreo cookie rim) were very stale and tasted really old. Like they’ve been sitting out for weeks. Can’t get that taste out my mouth. I’m concerned that if the cones taste like this because of no maintenance, I wonder how the ice scream is stored and maintained.
I only tried it once and I took a friend to give it a try as well. They also didn’t enjoy the waffle bowl they got. I give it a two because of the ice scream which has always been one of my faves. I had the vegan cookie dough ice scream and my friend had the “dulce de-lish”. Again, we really enjoyed them. Note, they have two flavors in stock for vegan options, which is more than most , so I appreciate that. Anyways, I’m not sure...
