First off, usually we go through drive through, so we decided to dine in. Except we couldn't find a single clean table and the drink station was filthy. Our food took forever, the four people working there were confused, except for one staff trying to figure things out for all stations to make up for the utter apathy in the other staff. At one point she ran out the door thinking a second car might be there but it was the guy who ordered ahead of us INSIDE, still waiting, while we were trying to get lids for the small and kid cups. The other family there had to ask at the pickup for their kid cups too. (We didn't jump the gun, we all waited until they called our number, shoved food at us but walked away so fast we had to wait to get them to finish the orders with the kid cups and then the lids separately.) The third disappeared from the drive through while we were there, and I could see someone was cooking. So there was four people, we walked in just after 6 with no rush in sight, just one guy ahead of us and a few ordering at the same time or after we'd been waiting. My burger was COLD. Stone freaking cold. I've never tried the baked potatoes before so maybe this is normal but the tray was grayish on the inside and it tasted like yesterday's socks. We ordered via kiosk (best part of the experience) but didn't receive our receipt with our food which we are supposed to according to the kiosk. The whole thing took almost 40 minutes.
I'm not the type to leave a bad review after every experience. And we've had other very poor experiences there. We just stop going awhile and then try again. This was the final straw. I get we're in a dip for hiring in our college town, but we're pretty sure there was four not three staff and not a huge drive through rush, no Doordash. However this was so disgusting and disappointing, and we really do like the food and prices (Biggie Bags rock!) when it works out. Read moreThe price was really the only thing good about our Wendy's experience. We ordered 3 Biggie Bags all with double stack cheeseburgers. We didn't get any double stack cheeseburgers. They were all the Junior Bacon Cheeseburgers. Only one burger had the correct condiments on it. My husband is severly allergic to onions. We ordered all burgers without onions and only one came without onions. We should have had 4 chicken nuggets in each biggie bag, but one bag only had 2 nuggets. Only 2 of our drinks were correct. I ordered a lemonade and got a sprite. When I told the lady at the counter who filled the order that I ordered a lemonade and not a Sprite, she said I know I read sprite on your order. Then she came around the counter and very slowly read every line of our order receipt to prove to me that she was right. She did not find the Sprite listed, only the lemonade. Then she got the lemonade. I knew I should check the bugers while I was there, but I only had an hour lunch and half of my lunch time was already gone by the time I got the the drinks straightened out. I had my Grandchildren visiting from MN and they and my husband were waiting for me to bring the food and eat with them. Because it was 10 minutes to get to them and 10 minutes to get back to work, that left me 10 minutes to try to rearrange the incorrect burgers/condiments so everyone would be satisfied and also for me to eat! It wasn't an enjoyable lunch at all and I ordered head of time on the app! I know they have only been in business since May 4, but I thought by the 3rd week they would have things figured out...
Read moreBy far the worst Wendy’s I have been to. They have gone to touch screen ordering. They have three kiosks but only one works. The kiosk is not intuitive at all, and not very responsive to the touch of a finger. Took us over five minutes to get an order in for one adult and two children. The line to order was obviously long and slow. The food took even longer to get as the lobby was packed with people waiting for their food they ordered. The chicken fillets for their sandwiches are about as thin as a piece of cardboard and taste similar to boot. The burgers my child ordered had fixings on it he asked to be excluded and the lettuce he did ask for was a leaf of lettuce that had a black spot about the size of a 50-cent piece and appeared to be incubating some sort of fur. I asked them to be replaced, and they did, but that process took well over 10 minutes so now I’m eating very cold, tasteless food. Finally they don’t even provide traditional bathrooms here. Not a mens and a women’s but two single stall family restrooms, so you even get to wait in line for something as simple as washing your hands. The eating area itself is nice and the building seems to be new but this is the most logic-defying setup I’ve seen in a fast food restaurant, the food is not good and the staff are about as incompetent as is humanly possible.
