I was looking up interesting ice cream flavors to try and found this place. I was hyped to try this place with my BF because the flavors seemed interesting and exotic. I am huge on flavors that maybe no one likes or tries, so I was all amped and went here to try it out. I ordered the Persian Rose and my BF ordered Banana Pudding both in the mili sized on a waffle cone. That is 2 scoops.
The first taste was amazing I got the rose flavor I was hoping for because I personally love rose flavored things. I like many flower flavors. But as I said I got the flavor of rose that I was looking for in this on first bite and was very happy.
After the first bite it was already melting, yes it was hot out, but never in my life have I had a cone that melts in 2 seconds after you have it, period. And it started to taste more like ice than cream, meaning there was literally shards of ice in my cone that made it taste like pure water. For $10 a cone you would expect higher quality and they hyped it up too much.
After the first 5 bites there was nothing but pistachios in the ice cream, I personally love pistachios, but there has to be a point in time when someone tells whoever is making it that there is plenty in there. If I wanted pistachios I would have just gone to the grocery store and got a bag. Thankfully they were unsalted and sadly they were really poor quality for a pistachio. I literally had 10-15 pistachios per bite of ice cream, was there 100 pounds in the mix? Probably. Enough is enough, ease up on the pistachios in this. It is supposed to be the rose that shines, and all I got was ice, pistachios, and a greasy feeling on the roof of my mouth. Not very pleasant feeling and ice cream was more ice than cream meaning not very creamy at all.
On the other side it was too sweet and the cone was also deadly sweet but flavorful, maybe because I cut sugar down in my diet and do not eat it as often as I had in the past, but I felt like I was gonna have diabetes when I finished.
I did not want to waste money so I ate whole thing. Was very disappointed and dissatisfied with this place. On the plus side the girl working the window was pleasant and had an upbeat attitude. Not rushing out to go here again any time soon unless they have something made with passion fruit and hold...
Read moreGf was looking for ice cream shops with interesting flavors and she found this one, so we decided to try it. I ordered a banana pudding cone and gf ordered a Persian rose cone. At the first bite we could feel the flavor which was good but as we kept eating the flavor disappeared and I could only taste the "pieces of waffle" mixed in my Ice cream, gf said she had like a pound of pistachios in hers, so that was the only thing she could taste. The Ice cream itself wasn't creamy and it was a bit too sweet (the cone was too) so we were not able to cool ourselves, I was more thirsty than before and gf felt like she was going to get diabetes. I went there with an open mind but the ice cream here was not able to do the one job that ice cream has...
Read moreThe prices feel a little absurd sometimes ($53 for 3 pints and they prompt you for a tip) but the ice cream is incredible so I don't mind. Plus I reuse the jars they sell the pints in all the time. The staff are really friendly as well
The ice cream itself is really light and the flavors are all wonderful. They don't have a huge variety of flavors but I've yet to try one that wasn't top tier. They hit the perfect balance of sweetness too. Also really glad they have so many vegan options and that they're all fire in my experience. It definitely beats any supermarket ice cream. Worth paying a visit, especially if you...
