I had never heard of Dwn Undr until one night when I was delivering for DoorDash and was assigned to pick up an order from them. When I entered the restaurant I thought it was the cutest place, I immediately thought it would be a great place to take my girlfriend out on our next date. As I approached the counter I was greeted by a man angrily shouting from a distance “NO MORE ORDERS WE ARE CLOSED!” I mention that I’m there to pick up an order for DoorDash and without a response he walks away and goes into the kitchen. A lady behind the counter starts telling me about how hard of a day she’s had because her boss made her work a double shift at the last minute. I’m there thinking that she’s trying to have a conversation with me, so I add something along of the lines of how I’ve been dashing all night after working a full shift at my day job and decided to pick up one more order before going home that I later realized was going to be a much longer drive than I had expected. My intention not being to compare and one up my situation to her’s, but to relate to her since we both seemed to be having a long day, and I tried to make that clear in my tone of voice. She snarls, rolls her eyes at me, and walks away right in the middle of my sentence. I took the customer’s order when it was ready and stormed out without a word. I may be overthinking it - but the conclusion that I came to after that interaction was that they were frustrated because somebody placed an order for DoorDash right before they were about to close the restaurant, and rather than being upset with the customer who did this - they decided to take their frustrations out on ME, the dasher who is just trying to do his job and pay his bills, just like they are, who also would have rather been at home in bed than out working all night. The lady who spoke to me wasn’t trying to have a conversation, she wanted to tell me that I had just made her already difficult day worse - she was projecting her anger onto the wrong person. If I had declined the order, it would have only been sent to another dasher to pick it up, taking up more time, therefore causing them to have to stay at work even later. Very disappointing. Dwn Undr seemed like such a neat little place, but the way they treated me was gross and I won’t be coming back. Extremely unwelcoming to a potential future customer. We all have rough days, we’re all on our grind and might be struggling to get by - try having some empathy and treat others...
Read moreIt comes with great sadness that I leave the following review . Eat and drink at your own risk.
As a former Washington resident I was majorly disappointed coming all the way back home from Colorado to have something like this happen.
Restaurant service and food wasn't up to par. I had the opportunity to observe 15 out of 25 meals that would have been served to our group.
Fish and chips was mostly oil in batter in place of fish and the chips or french fries if you could call them that, were very soggy and unedible by at least three of the people that ordered french fries. Many compliants from our people that ate any of the options. Out of our meals only 2 meals at the table that were edible . One meal was a Cobb salad and the other was a strawberry salad.
The pictures others have left here of the food looks great ours didn't look great and it didn't taste great.
The restaurant wouldn't honor the coupons they to each person in our party. We were told by the staff that the coupon was only good 1 per table, not what we had been told when they had given out these coupons.
If you read what it says on the coupon valid for $10 towards any purchase limit to one per customer or table , not one for table. We each had separate tickets, we were told that we could use each coupon given during our dinner service when we checked in, that wasn't the case. We each felt there was some bait and switch.
The staff did work with a few people to either refund or credit their meals in part. When it was my turn to deal with my ticket I told them take it as a learning experience learn to follow and honor tickets to hand out whether it's them or the hotel. Secondly to figure out how food is supposed to be prepared or not to have any cooked...
Read moreI don't usually leave reviews but I've tried this place a handful of times during different times of the day, having given them the benefit of the doubt and am always consistently disappointed. Service is non-existent/painfully slow for drinks or food and there doesn't seem to be any solid server training or order to their system. I give a two stars because their servers are nice but very inattentive. Employees seem unaware of what is going on/ what needs to be taken care of. I am a server so I feel like I have the right to my opinion. Food is alright but is usually served cold so maybe one person could run food consistently instead of everyone being distracted doing nothing at the bar. Drinks are okay but inconsistent in flavor and it's a very slow process to get a refill or any service without waving/walking around for some attention. Employees stand around talking and pretending like there's nothing to do. Strange vibe. Not sure what is going on behind the scenes but I won't be coming back. Good luck to the owners.. the concept of being able to play games is super fun and I wish I had a better experience so that I could keep coming back. I paid 42$ without tip for 2 drinks and a very cold, overcooked,...
