Had 2 shots americano in 8 oz cup which was tasteless. They either use not freshly grinned coffee or really old beans. This place is really popular with a lot of people sitting and taking out. This made me think if people really come for coffee here or just coffee flavor. I've seeing how caramel iced americano was made and I couldn't believe my eyes. How someone can like it. Here are the details. Full cup of ice, in the separate cup a squirt of caramel and a turn of pick salt and a shot of expresso mixed then added to cup with ice and topped with tape water. We stopped here two different mornings on our trip to Boise. We got a coffee and tea. The Baristas were super friendly and chatted with us while we waited for our drinks. We sat outside in the umbrellaed patio for some great people watching. It sits on 8th, which is in the center of the bar/restaurant pedestrian area. What a difference a renovation can make! This place has established itself as one of the top coffee spots in Boise. I refer to it as old reliable, cause I've never been let down. They have steep competition in town, but they always deliver a high quality product. I can't say I love everything they make, but who can honestly say that about any brand. I have a love/like relationship with Dawson's, but I've never outright hated anything they've released. They've embraced the contemporary coffee culture, and it's made a big difference.
