This place has potential. Right at this moment the cocktails are off balance and overly expensive. The ingredients are trying to be so much more and fall short and I am in the industry of craft cocktails. The roof top atmosphere is great and will be great for the night life! It may have been opening day but the lack of communication and the efficiency of getting drinks out was not where it should be. The serving staff did not know what tables went to what drinks. The bartenders were drowning and they were not even at capacity. The hostess even admitted “ if you are ok with going up, is it ok if you wait? Our bartenders are trying to catch up right now.” They had only been open for 15 minutes at this point. Again not at capacity! We waited in line for 45 minutes. There was one bartender who was carrying the entire bar staff and quite literally sweating to get everything out and was doing amazing. Which then led to the others to ask how to do things. I asked for a chilled shot of tequila which then the bartender repeated twice to me and then when all was said and done she handed me a room temp shot of tequila. I hope once opening week goes by things can get a little bit more streamed lined...
Read moreAs soon as you walk up the stairs you are transported into what feels like an eclectic music lovers personal party pad. Full with retro furniture, funky art and a disco ball table! The highlight is definitely the rooftop patio, with plenty of space and shade. You can tell they put a lot of thought and time into the cocktail menu. There is something for everyone (even fun non-alcoholic creations) and the price point is equal to every other cocktail bar in Boise. The service was friendly and welcoming. Don't listen to some of the other reviews on here hiccups are to be expected for any new establishment, especially on opening day. I'd recommend checking it out during non-peak hours these first few weeks. Sit at the bar top, grab a drink and talk to the staff. You'll learn they really care and take a lot of pride in creating a new and unique space in downtown Boise. There really is so much potential with the Hap Hap Lounge and I can't wait to see what it...
Read moreArrived at 11 pm on a Tuesday night after a concert at the knitting factory on 4/29/25 and was met by the bartender who was hurriedly washing dishes. There was no warm greeting, no welcome. He didnt even raise his head up to say hi. All of the lights were on, the establishment was still presenting as open for business. The bartender wouldn't engage in conversation and was obviously trying to close the bar early to go home. After i told my friend "let's go, he doesn't want us here." He replied, "I haven't had anyone here for three hours. I'm not staying here for YOU." I mentioned on my way out that I tip very well and wouldn't keep him long. He stated he didn't care. 10 out of 10 don't recommend during the week. To say the bartender was rude is an...
