I’ve been eyeing this café for a while, so I was really excited to try it! I met up with a group of friends on a weekend morning here. I was really shocked at how negative our experience was:
Pastry and bagel options were extremely limited, which was shocking for a weekend morning, when supply should match expected foot traffic. The absence of seasonal drinks/requiring a reservation for the coffee flights was not clear. I was expecting cute specials, but that info was not easily accessible or posted anywhere. It wasn’t exceptionally busy, but all of our drinks took quite a bit to be made. All of our coffee/tea orders were made incorrectly, whether it was a wrong size, wrong milk, and/or wrong flavor. As someone who’s worked in food service, I’m super understanding of mistakes like the above. However, myself and my friends were met with defensiveness/resistance when addressing our drink issues politely.
I never write reviews, but this really was a letdown. I would love to see the menu options and service improve...
Read moreCame in on a Tuesday before noon and was pleased to find this sunny little spot inside the bookstore. There were a few people sitting around but otherwise there was no line. My sister and I ordered an iced chai latte and an iced blood orange hibiscus tea.

Neither of our drinks were ready at that point so I waited a few more minutes for them to make the chai. When it was finally done they asked if I had gotten the iced tea yet, which I obviously hadn't, so they quickly got it ready for me.
I was confused by the delay, since it took almost ten minutes to prepare a single chai latte. Definitely a cute spot if you want a treat after book shopping, but I wouldn't go out of...

My friends and I trudged through the rain to sample their penny board flight we had seen on social media. When we went up to order it, the person behind the counter rudely let us know that we needed advanced reservations to order the flight. When my friend asked “and how advanced do we need to book it… do you have any reservations left today?” The lady gave us the dirtiest look, rolled her eyes and said it would take something like 20+ hours of advanced notice.
This was not advertised in their store or on their social media page. When we visited their Instagram, there was a booking page, but again it wasn’t marketed that way in the video. Just wanted to give everyone else a heads up to make advanced...
