It was okay. We ordered the duck dumplings however and those are terrible. They taste like what an American who has never had a dumpling might imagine a dumpling could be. It was deep fried and loaded with some kind of sauce that tasted like mayo or cream cheese something like that a little bit too aggressively rich and fattening especially paired with the duck it just was a hot mess. I would never recommend them. The chicken sandwich tasted better than it looked sadly it didn't photograph well because the batter had gotten dark but it didn't taste burned. I thought it was pretty good like a step above fast food. My favorite part about the restaurant was the ambience because it was a lively crowd of locals and it felt like you were just visiting instead of going on the Main Street and you can feel like one of a million tourists. If you go in the back corridors you are one of the few tourists instead. I liked the service I felt like he was pretty nice. I would definitely come back but try something else as far as the appetizer because those dumplings were not it.

We went here with my family. It started off good, seated quick then it turned sour after that. We sat for 25 mins then another family was sat after us, given drinks then after making eye contact with the bartender. WHO ONLY CARES ABOUT THE LOCALS. We got water as well. Then 10 min later we were asked our order. Which we ended up receiving after the other families came in after us. Only saving grace was the food came out fast and was good. My kids ordered the white cheddar Mac and Cheese and received Kraft Mac and Cheese. And forgot my children's drinks. Along with my sister's boyfriends beer. Finally a lady came and started helping out the tables. She acknowledged that we were inconvenience heavily and gave us a discount. Only reason we tipped was due to her being a great server at the end and it being a "pool tip" than "individual tip".

Food was phenomenal. For example the golden bronze hue of the perfectly fried French fries reminded me of my child hood memories growing up in the blazing Sahara desert of Au Gres Michigan. The true hospitality of this function was displayed as I witnessed my father order a perfectly hand sewed and machine stamped polo. Although I wish I could describe this experience with one adjective, I’m unable to as the Webster dictionary does not contain a single word to display the beauty and magnificence of this restaurant. My hunger was utterly satiated as my teeth met the crispy yet juicy brown patty that I would give the title as culinary bliss. I would like to give a warm thank you to Dr Taunt as he showed me what true heaven was like on earth. WOW!🤩

We ordered take out right before the weekend dinner rush. I know this because the restaurant was empty when I came in and there was a line out the door when I left!

When I arrived, the servers were not very friendly to me. They just looked at me like I was lost when I came in. I guess I was a little lost because I was trying find out if I was waiting in the right spot to collect my order. 😭 They did bring out our food quickly, though, and they offered napkins, ketchup, and utensils which was really nice! Lots of places forget those little things.

The food was really hit or miss for us. The pretzels were too salty, but we just scraped off some of the salt and found them a lot more enjoyable that way!

The cheesesteak wasn’t salty enough, but we had pretzel salt to spare 😅! With the pretzel salt I really enjoyed it! The meat was tender and flavorful, the bun was soft and chewy, and all the ingredients were well balanced! Unfortunately, the fries were somehow cold, soggy, stale, AND bland. I know that fries tend to not travel well, but the drive to our hotel was like 5 minutes, and these tasted like they were sitting long before we placed our order. I only ate half of a single fry before I tossed them.

The snickers pie was fun to try, but make sure you eat it at the end of the day because it is very sweet and rich which left us weighed down for the rest of the day. I scraped off half of the topping just so I could “finish” it.

It was a bit of a bummer because it was the first meal of our trip, and we found half of our food to be inedible, but the bits we did enjoy, we really enjoyed!

If I go back, I’ll just get the cheesesteak with no fries and a...

What can we say…?! We dropped in here trying to find a place to escape from the rain and cold. They were extremely crowded and busy but one of the servers Pete said give me a minute and I’ll be right with you for a table for two. We came in and sat down within minutes of walking into the door. The rain was coming down quite steadily and the atmosphere in side seemed fun, warm, and dry. We started off with some waters. Pete and the other server Keely were really hopping around try to keep the service flowing and we’re doing an awesome and amazing job of it! We ordered the Fingers and Fries along with the Steak Salad and fries. The food was also followed by a drink called The Coop which is similar to a John Daley! Might I say it did not disappoint! It should be noted that our experience was above and beyond thanks to these two people. Pete & Keely run a tight ship and didn’t disappoint us with the level of service we received. To show you how well they cared, another table had already paid their check and were walking out to leave and had left behind their personal belongings consisting of two purses. Keely ran out after them and made sure that they hadn’t left with them!

Kudos to you both for some truly amazing and awesome food and service!

Keep up the great work you both deserve a raise and a good stiff drink after...

We were in Breck, first time, and we were looking for a place to eat but didn't want to go to an overpriced tourist place. So what to do, but ask an employee. And another. And another. And they all said the same thing "Its a place you'd never find, totally low end, unassuming, with amazing food at reasonable prices". Many of the employees at Breck go there to eat. SOLD!

They were so right.

It's a 10 minute walk from the village, and you really have to know it's there to find it. You walk in, and it looks like a very low end restaurant until you start talking to people, and you realize that it's really a hidden gem. People that work there are knowledgeable, extremely nice, helpful, and always smiling. In fact it was kind of weird, but yes they were always smiling. I strongly suggest the hamburgers, it's a double smash and if you eat a burger with fries and couple it with the house salad it's more than enough for two people. They have a full bar, very reasonable prices, and you'll just love the place. BTW... Heavy pours. Wink wink, nudge nudge. We'll be black tomorrow for our last night in...
