My wife and I were recently on a road trip and spent one night in Breckenridge, Colorado and went out for dinner at South Ridge Seafood Ridge. I had the lobster tails and my wife had the seafood salad. The food was absolutely awesome and the atmosphere was modern chic. I have to give the service five stars even though they lost our meal order and we spent approximately one half hour or so sipping our martini’s. When the waitress realized this, she offered to buy us our drinks and a dessert. We said that was not necessary and we had been enjoying our drink and conversation. Shortly thereafter, our food arrived and I was so impressed with the entrée presentation, that I took a photo and a quick bite. Mmmm, was it good!! Even the couple having dinner next to us admired my entree. Well needless to say, the owner was concerned about our wait and approached us as we were finishing up our awesome dinner and offered us everything on the house. We refused since we weren’t complaining about our lost order and what we considered an acceptable wait time for our dinner. The owners refused to allow us to pay, so they rang up a $1.00 bill and I added a tip. Now, this is what I consider exceptional customer service, complimented by an awesome dinner and a ambience that was both relaxing...
Read moreGreat place with a nice vibe. Nicely decorated, with furnishings that seemed pretty classic, but not pretentious. It's not on Main Street, on the residential-looking street parallel to it, and behind it. We started by splitting a goat cheese salad, which was a good size (and they were awesome and put it on two plates), nice and cheesey, with some dried pistachios. We ate at the bar because the place was totally booked up all night, or at least from opneing to 9:15 (so make a rezzie early! the bar only has 10 or 15 seats, and those were full the whole time we were there, too, taken as soon as they were emptied). The bartenders were really friendly and helpful with pairings and tastes of beer or wine to get our meal right. Big wine menu, and a smaller beer selection on tap, but a nice selection (a good IPA, a good porter, and a few others). The NY strip steak was perfectly cooked medium rarely, and a nice cut, not fatty. The Mahi mahi was also a good piece of fish, and not overcooked. The risotto cakes were also good, very flavorful. Both also came with a good-sized...
Read moreThis is a tough one bc overall, the food was very good with the exception of the bruschetta. What made me give this place 3 stars was the rude service we received. We had a reservation (not that we needed one. It was empty) on a Thursday night. My wife and 2 kids and I walked in and were given the choice of tables to sit. Once we sat down we realized the table was broken. This wasn’t a fixable wobbly table but rather the top was lose and moved around making it very uncomfortable to enjoy. So since we were given the choice of where to sit, We chose a booth that wasn’t broken. Our server, who looked like he’d rather be somewhere else came over and we said “we moved bc the table was broken”. He frowned at us and said “are you finished moving?” I asked “is this a problem?” He then said “yeah now I have to sanitize the other table again”. So much for “we’re all in this together”. He basically slammed our wine down and proceeded to get a dirty dish rag that had been in his dirty back pocket and “sanitize” the table. I’ve never been treated so rude. Prob why the...
