I am by no means healthy, but when you trash your body the way I do, from time to time you need help getting back on track and that’s where Choice comes into play. Think of the healthiest person you know and ask them if they go to Jamba Juice, Nekter or other chain places. Nope, because they know it’s not real nutrition. It’s apples and celery. It’s acai (10 years ago) and pitaya (5 years ago). Sure there are newer cooler fads like Oat milk, but having ingredients like Oil of Oregano, Blue Majik Blue/Green Algae, Baobab, chlorophyll, E3live, Maca, Maqui, it’s so far beyond your typical juice/smoothie place where people are being fooled by cold/creamy fruit drinks. Think food versus medicine.
Some of my favorites are the Immunity Surge for I’m feeling sick (that Oil of Oregano will knock out most bugs like fire), Brain surge when I’m feeling cloudy. They use date as their main sweetener, still low on the glycemic index, though I with they offered agave. Their luo han guo is used in some other drinks, but it’s monk fruit which I use in a keto syrup for cocktails, which is something all you stevia users should be using instead.
Dawn patrol is a great way to wake up even though we all know greens are for the morning. Hot sunrise is also good for that. Make your own superade and chloro water as it’s not worth the money. The watermelon mint from the beauty melon is super refreshing. Always get Majik Milk if it’s available, the strawberry doesn’t seem nearly as amazing. Lavender milk is also good, but doesn’t pop or have that super vibrant color. The gold turmeric is probably the healthiest of the milks, but it’s a huge difference between unsprouted and sprouted almond milk.
The foods and meals are a little too healthy for me. There is a very vegan vibe, very plant based vision here and maybe if I make that jump I’d eat more here, but for now I stick with the muffin. Dense and delicious.
Bring back the 16oz containers, washed and you’ll get $1 back on the next order. No discount on the surge shots glasses.
Prices are on the higher side, but the quality more than makes up for it considering the efforts they go to curate this versus just throwing berries, ice and some other stuff in a blender.
Service is almost always excellent. My only negative experience was at lunch time waiting. They had 3 employees and they waited 10 minutes to even start my order with no one ahead of me. I’m sure they were in the back doing other things, but watch how a kitchen or bar runs, order up, boom ticket, boom start the order. Now rather than blindly tipping 20-25% on my card I wait till after to tip cash, because I come here weekly and know what to expect. I’m also not some yoga pants wearing mom hanging out here with my kids stroller with time to kill. I’m here for pickup because lets face it, with Crackheads next door tempting me for a drink, any additional time spent waiting here might cause me to get a...
Read moreNot only have I’ve been unhappy with my juices or salads pretty much anything on the menu but when trying to get a job there, they were discriminative, and immediately told me I couldn’t get the job because I wasn’t available on my application for one day and my hours Were off by one hour. They didn’t even offer me an interview to ask me if that was something that I could work with or change. Instead, they looked at my age my race, and the fact that I have children with disabilities and they told me that I can’t have the job. I also have to state that they replied to my application within min which means they didn’t even look at my experience let alone references and without any pre interview questions let alone a phone or in person interview. Unfortunately they profiled me and they were discriminating against me over one day that I could have figured out and one hour in availability that I totally could have worked with besides my age, race, disability medical ( my sons doctors appt are Monday along with my own) and religion ( can’t do Sundays). No wonder they have a high turnover always hiring. Food for thought. Definitely seeking legal help on this. Forgot to add that every single time I’ve been there the employees always have entitle bratty bad attitudes. Really over priced, not worth it at all. Thought I could help bring up the atmosphere and good energy vibes help with my century of experience, but instead whomever is doing the hiring is just as entitled disrespectful as each and every times I’ve gone since the day it opened I’ve maybe had one employee be kind helpful and have smiles. I’m a local of Carlsbad and south Oceanside for many years. I’ve worked in the village running gift shops alone and worked many street fairs. Such bad juju vibes there maybe they will find employees sooner or later that elevate it to the prices they are charging. Last by the time you go there a handful of times you could have saved up for a nice blender for your own smoothies and or even had the money for “real” ( I’ve had the inside scoop and witnessed myself that they are not consistent with the fresh produce and the milks they use are not always made in house, plus I’ve gotten sick from there due to cross contamination and or food poisoning) organic vegetables and fruit. I hate to give such a bad review I usually don’t and haven’t over the years to be kind and have good karma but after being treated so horribly just applying to a job has really put a bad taste in my mouth that I don’t think anything will rinse or wash it down. I’d give no stars if I could. They claim how important the customers are but that couldn’t be farther then the truth it’s all about the bottom dollar. Can’t cut corners on good employees. It can ruin your entire vibe especially word of mouth. I’ll be boycotting for sure. No more...
Read morePurchased a smoothie, got in my car and realized it was completely watered down about halfway through it so when I circled back around to drive and park again around the place I had drank through it. When I informed the staff I was told that it's a warm day so that's probably why it melted - in January with weather temperature in the low sixties - and essentially told that because they couldn't confirm what I was saying I couldn't receive the courtesy of benefit of the doubt for it to be made right. So essentially I must be a lier and cheating person trying to pull a scam, it's how I got to walk away feeling judged. I told them they could look at their point of sale system to confirm that it was recently ordered, but there was no interest in doing so. Even when one buys a smoothie in the middle of the summertime it shouldn't be able to be consumed in approximately a five minute time span, I didn't pay for flavored milk juice! 🙄 Have visited Banana Dang in Oceanside twice by the way, and had smoothie from them when the weather was at least 20° warmer but I was able to enjoy my smoothie about 30 Mins...
