We love baked beans in our house so got a quart along with a baked potato with chopped beef and a couple individual sides and dessert for three to share. Their beans are a combo of regular baked beans, small navy, and what I think are black beans and large kidney beans. The black beans and kidney beans were undercooked and hard. This isn't the first time this happened so I give up on their beans. You can't cook different beans the same amount of time. They would have a good and unique baked bean offering if they could fix the cook time. I mean baked beans with barbecue are a staple.

The baked potato was good sized but had no butter and very little cheese and chives, the chopped beef was mostly gristle, and the side of macaroni and cheese was so dried out you couldn't chew the noodles and I was disappointed by the small amount of cheese. I asked for sauce on the side for bread pudding dessert and that was ignored. By the time I was ready to eat dessert it was just a mess. Personally, I think their regular barbecue sauce is too spicy, I'm surprised kids eat it, so I guess it was okay that my request for extra barbecue sauce was also ignored. You guys really should allow people to buy a pint or quart of barbecue sauce in your online ordering.

Why give a box for special requests in your online ordering system, which I love by the way, if you are going to ignore special requests. My special requests were the bread pudding sauce on the side and extra barbecue sauce so we could all have some to add to their beans as mentioned above as well as 3 sets of utensils. We received only one packet of utensils. Why is there a fee to order online and pick it up inside? I have never seen a fee to order...

Was excited to try Oklahoma Joe's. First time eating their food tonight. I ordered a full slab of ribs with the jalepeno hush puppies and green beans. My wife got the 2 meat meal, chicken and sausage with baked beans and potato salad.

I am not going to say the food was bad. It just "wasn't bad.....". They say the ribs are "The best in the world". They really, really are not. Not even a contender. They are just "not bad". Little on the dry and over-cooked side. The other 2 big, local barbecue restaurants (I won't name them here) in Tulsa are much, much, much better and less expensive. The hush puppies were just okay and the green beans were the equivalent of microwave/steam in the bag that you get from WalMart.

My wife was not a fan at all of what she got. The chicken was really quite dry and the sausage looked like it had been on a roller grill in a convenience store for 3 days. Beans and potato salad were mediocre at best.

I did also get the bread pudding, which is the only thing I can say was "pretty good".... My rating for the food quality would have only been 2 stars without the good dessert.

Our dogs really enjoyed what we didn't/couldn't eat! Y'all get 1 paw up from them!

In a quick summary, I will say the food is lower end/mediocre and should really cost about 60% to 70% less than it does for the quality. Our 2 meals with 1 dessert and no drinks plus a 15% tip came to almost $70. The staff was super friendly though so...

I wasn't impressed with this location. My visit was on Sat, March 26, between 11:30-12:00. The food and service are both, incredibly better at the BA location in my opinion. I purchased the Grand Champion platter, that has multiple meats and sides. The flavor of the brisket and pork were not good, both were dry, the hot link had little flavor, but it WAS 🔥 HOT, they must have been out of sausage because all I got was hot link. I requested ribs in place of turkey and they were EXTREMELY tough, which I have never had happen, from the other location. The bologna was AMAZING! The okra had great flavor but it was not crisp at all. Next time I will return to the Broken Arrow location. MUCH of this order was discarded, due to lack of flavor or being tough/dry and okra was not crisp and I don't like wasting money that way. I get the platter and eat for several days typically. The location was prompt and service was courteous it just was not friendly as it is at the BA location. The location was clean, it appeared to be busy, as one would expect for the lunch time hour. I did notice they seemed to have trouble keeping track of where orders needed to go when they came out as well as what sides needed to go with which order as they prepped them, as if it lacked organization in the back. Hopefully it will improve and become a better location or perhaps they just had an off day, those do happen...

I'm not sure what happened exactly, if it has to do with the franchise process or what, but if you're expecting the Kansas City experience, you'll be sorely disappointed. I have loved visiting the Olathe, KS location in times past. I understand it is now called Joe's KC Barbecue. Some of the favorites from that menu included Smoked Chicken Gumbo and some of the best Dirty Rice you ever ate. This Catoosa location didn't even offer those items. Since I like spice, I decided to try the jalapeno hush puppies. They were hard as a brick, overcooked, and dry as sawdust. Their fried okra was fried whole instead of chopped. It was also undercooked causing you to pull the breading off with your teeth when you tried to bite it, leaving stringy okra and seeds behind. The breading on the okra was also very salty to the point of being bitter. The smoked turkey had a great flavor and their sauces were tasty, but I was very disappointed in my sides.

We liked this place. We stopped while traveling through town. I had the boneless rib sandwich with green beans and baked beans. My husband had pulled chicken with onion rings and macaroni and cheese. You order at the register and they call you when the food is ready. All of the food was very good. The only caveat is that neither of us like spicy food. I'm more tolerant than my husband. They have original sauce and hot sauce. Of course, we both had the original sauce, which has a little kick to it, but nothing either of us couldn't handle. The baked beans were at the very top of my tolerance level. They were sweet, but hot. They actually made me sweat. If I were to go back there I would get a different side. If you like a lot of heat, then you'll probably like them. Everything else was very good. We would definitely go back again.

Stopped in on a Sunday evening not long before closing time. There was only 1 other family here yet I was warmly greeted and the friendliest waitstaff took my order. I chose Burnt Ends, BBQ Beans and Onion Rings. A few moments later my food was ready and delivered to my table. While all was very good, this wasn't the barbecue I expected or had many times before at the Kansas City Gas Station location. The Burnt Ends reminded me of a pot roast with some extra char on the outside. The meat was fattier than it should have been and I longed for the chewy, crispy pieces I expect to receive with Burnt Ends. The beans? They were the star of the meal, and the onion rings were tasty as well. Location is clean, convenient, and has a nice vibe inside.
