We went here on a Sunday when most places were closed or weren't open until 5pm. Arrived around 4pm and noticed that the place was pretty empty so we thought this would work in our favor. The hostess asked us to sit anywhere, and then followed us over to offer water. We knew something was up at that point. Problem - only one server for the entire restaurant. There was another table of (6) that the only server, the manager (presumed) and the hostess were taking care of. The table was giving them a hard time about the food, and took up all of their time. We waited for 30 min. until the only server arrived to take our order. She was not very happy. Manager walked by us many times without even a word or a look. It took another 20 for our appetizer to arrive, and then another 15 min. for our food to arrive. There was only one other couple in the place, and we were there about 2hrs - 15min just to eat lunch. The food was ok, especially the sweet potato fries but by this time we needed to leave. The restaurant is inside of a beautiful Hilton hotel, but be warned, if this place runs like this with a couple of people in it, I cannot imagine what happens when the crowds come in, if they do. With the Hilton renovations underway- the lounge floor was totally under construction so we were given vouchers for breakfast and apps. Coastal Bar&Kitchen had horrible service- and when I mean horrible, I mean (stare at you without a smile and walk you to your table), no enthusiasm while waiting on you. I would not recommend the restaurant. Should you be stuck eating here- try to be seated at Treyâs tables - he was the only one who knew what the word customer service meant- went out of his way to make an iced coffee for my daughter and kept the coffee mug full during breakfast. Iâm sorry that youâre not happy to have to put up with the Hilton guests- tell Hilton No- or change...
   Read moreTruly one of the best experiences Iâve ever had at a restaurant. The waitress, Alma, was as attentive as anyone could hope for. She made sure that my food allergies to nightshades was well tended to, and she even brought out the head chef to make sure we were communicating properly about âpeppersâ. (Peppercorns are great, hot and bell peppers are terrible âşď¸).
The brussels were absolutely the best any of our four party had ever had, and everyone was extremely happy with their dishes. Drinks were well prepared, and the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. We had all worked a big event for several hours in the hot sun previously and were overstimulated, but felt peaceful and rejuvenated in the restaurant...
