This is a "twofer" review. First meal was breakfast. Greeted by Ronnie. Engaging, bubbly, great way to start the day.. Restaurant was a ghost town which was Surprising! I ordered eggs Benedict. Cardinal rule, never order eggs Benedict from a hotel restaurant....except this one! Excellent!. Perfect poach and presentation. Excellent seasoning! Ask for the fried watermelon as a side. Honest. Best mistake they ever made.! Wonderful. Might be the best kept breakfast secret in Chattanooga. Dinner: ordered duck pastrami appetizer. Good but a little lacking. Would benefit from a little more "duck" flavor. Micro greens were a perfect. Crisp, fresh. Duck pastrami needed a little more fat. Dressing overpowered the duck. Excellent presentation. This is a good appetizer to share , not because its too big, just easy and tasty.
Entrée: NY strip with baked potato. Steak was perfectly cooked. Tender, juicy. I ordered mine with a morel butter topping. Morel butter was too salty. Chef agreed! Baked potato was perfectly cooked.
Dessert: Crème brûlée! Y'all, it tastes like Saturday morning cartoons and Trix cereal milk. You have to get this. Not so rich that you can't eat the whole thing. It really is the best dessert!.
Servers: Ashlyn. Can't say enough about her service. She and her colleague, Sarah were, Excellent! Attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Ashlyn has actually tried several of the menu items. Ask her opinion. She's spot on! Won't steer you wrong. I'll be...
Read moreCame in very hungry and sat in the bar area. It was busy but not overly packed. Took the bartender 10 minutes to get to our table for the drink order. Should have walked to a place down the street, but we were tired after a long day. Took 15 more min to get our beers and wine. Ordered a charcuterie board and 3 bison burgers. 30 min go by and we wave down the bartender, “sorry, the kitchen is way behind, a bunch of people ordered at once”. There were maybe 10 people in the restaurant and 7 at the bar. Charcuterie board comes out 5 min later and it is the saddest looking tray. We got 6 pieces of two different meats, 2 cheeses (supposed to be 3), 3 small pieces of sourdough, 2 small jars of olives and pickled onions, no stone mustard (advertised with mustard), $32. Burgers arrive 10 min later, had to ask the food delivery girl for more water, bartender was no where to be found and the burgers were overcooked (we ordered medium, they were well done) and over salted. $26 for a terrible burger. Waited almost 90 min for overpriced bad food and service. Great hotel, go eat some where else. We spent $112.00. We stayed in the hotel 2 days and refused to eat...
Read moreDon’t go if you have any food allergies!!We went to this place on Thanksgiving for a family of 4 hoping to have a wonderful meal. I have a food allergy and informed them of this 2 weeks ago when making reservation. When arrived the waitress said she couldn’t get an answer from the chef of what I could eat. The manager came out and didn’t care about my allergy nor did she attempt to accommodate me in any way. I only took 2 bites into the stuffing and started to have a reaction. Waitress was aware but manager didn’t come back over and apologize. I had to sit there while my family ate since they didn’t accommodate my allergy and we already paid an high price to eat there. After we ate, 2 other people in my party felt sick from the food. It was very unorganized, the food and the service was poor. It was $65 per person plus gratuities that was already taken out. I had to go to a diner afterwards to eat. Never again!! Worst place to eat!! I was informed that there was new staff and a new chef recently which might be why some of the older...
