Hoptown Southside — Restaurant in Chattanooga

Been here twice since they opened. The potential is great - however it seems they’re struggling to overcome some opening kinks. The first time I went the beer I ordered was connected to the wrong keg…as was my second beer. The second time, their entire system spewed nothing but foam into the glasses, and unless Hutton and Smith changed their Tectonic recipe to include copious amounts of mango, they still could not serve the beer you order correctly.

I came soon after it opened. I'm a big draft beer fan and this place doesn't disappoint. I wished they served food though so I didn't have to go to a second location to eat. They also removed a lot of the fun board/card games that Fountainhead previously had; very few remain.

The biggest annoyance was the pool table. I paid for a game and it was missing two balls. I told the bartender and she said she had no idea. She didn't seem to care nor offered me a refund so I was stuck playing an incomplete/unbalanced game of pool. How is your pool table broken...

This place is absolutely fantastic if you love a lively vibe! Trending music plays overhead, meanwhile you have games to play, there is couches for nice seating and chairs, as well as the bar top which has a whole line of different selections of beers on tap. Kursty was phenomenal, easy to talk to, even crack up with. She made sure to ask if I wanted another drink every time before my drink was completely out. If that isn’t incredible and amazing service, I don’t know what is. I love this place and will be coming back...
