Tonight, The Atlantica provided me with one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. To start, the waitress just kind of stood next to our table and quietly asked us if we wanted water and if tap, sparkling, or still is good. When she returned with our water she stood there again quietly while we were looking at the drink menu and didnât even ask if we wanted to order a drink. We ordered a couple alcoholic drinks. When she came back with our drinks, she took our food order, and it was at this point she introduced herself as our waitress for the night. Apparently bread is served at this restaurant, but it was never brought out to us automatically, we had to ask for it. When our food arrived, my burger was missing its signature shallot jam and also only had a drop of burger sauce on it. Our waitress never came by to ask how our food turned out. She continued to wait on and clean other tables while seemingly ignoring us. Twenty minutes passed by, she finally was in the vicinity of our table so I could flag her down and say that i needed shallot jam and burger sauce for my burger. She then grabbed my plate and said âlet me take this to the back for you so they can put what you want on the burgerââŚinstead of bringing out a side of the shallots and sauce for some reason. Another 5-10 minutes pass while I wait for my corrected food. When my food came back out, it was a complete mess. The cook threw on a ton of extra tomatoes, onions, pickles (on and under the burger), a little shallot jam, and burger sauceâŚspread all over and completely around covering every inch of the outside of the bun. I was hungry so I had no choice but to eat it since I figured we wouldnât be seeing our waitress again any time soon. She never came over to ask how the burger was. It wasnât until I finished my meal that she came over and asked if the burger was fixed. I told her it was absolutely not and it was a huge mess, but that I ate it anyway since I was hungry. The waitress said âwell Iâll just take it off your check then.â Ten minutes pass and our waitress asks if we wanted anything else. We say no just the check. Another 15 minutes pass and our waitress passes by us and says sheâll bring the check over. Sure enough the burger was removed from the check. We paid and got out of there as fast as we could.
I donât think Iâve ever had a worse experience at any other restaurant. The waitress was extremely inattentive, the food was meh and when corrected was an absolute disaster, and no one even apologized about the error in my meal. I will never be returning to the...
Read moreAtlantica at Allegria Hotel...god awful. Eat somewhere else. There are many restaurants to chose from but we were staying at the Allegria so why not eat there. This place is suppose to be high class but there is nothing high class about the restaurant or the hotel. It was a slow Monday night. We got Gin and tonics to drink. Not sure what kind of Gin that was but it didn't even taste like Gin. Not even the lowest well Gin. We didn't ask for Tangurey or Bombay so we didn't complain. They didn't have a big selection of food. We ordered crab cake sliders first. They were good. Then we got the the lobster roll to share which came with French fries. It was inedible. It had a licorice flavor that we both tasted. So we ate all the fries. Oh and we ordered a small pepperoni pizza and that was ok. We told our waitress, Paige, about the lobster roll. She said ok I'll let the chef know. Now I know she didn't cook the food so her tip wasn't affected...yet. She didn't come back until we called her over to ask for the check about 5-10 min later. The check had the lobster roll on it which we were absolutely not going to pay for since we didn't eat it. So we had to call her back over and ask if they could remove the roll. She took the check back and removed the lobster roll but they charged us for fries we ate. What is that about??? At that point I didn't even care about the fries. The manager never came over to apologize or say anything. I've worked in many restaurants and I would never treat customers like this and I tip very well because I've worked in this industry but in the end Paige's tip was affected. Basically we paid $60 for crab cake sliders, a tiny pizza, french fries and two "gin and tonics". I would have rather gone to a pizzeria for food and then to a bar for a beer instead but we wanted to sit down at a restaurant. The next morning we ate there for breakfast because we heard really good things about their breakfast. That was dumb. We should have gone somewhere else considering our dinner experience but we thought we would try it. Coffee cups on the table were dirty along with the water glasses. The buffet was just eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and oatmeal. Small bagels and croissants that were hard. But for $14 each I guess you get what you pay for. The breakfast wasn't as bad as dinner but since we heard how great the breakfast was we were disappointed. The coffee was good though. I wouldn't ever go back here and I will deter anyone who is thinking about eating or...
Read moreWe are giving 1 star to this restaurant due to its horrible management. They do not even deserve the 1 star. My husband and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try out this restaurant with a Living Social voucher. If we liked it we would be very good customers since we often are visiting in laws across the street who enjoy babysitting our children. The hotel made it very difficult to use this voucher throughout its 3 month period. We tried to use for the Saturday after Valentines Day and were told that the whole weekend was a Valentine's pre-fix so they wouldn't accept it. I spoke to a surly manager who said he could not extend the promotion past the expiration date because he wouldn't be able to get his $. This is actually a lie. I found out from Living Social they have to honor what you actually paid for 5 years. They do not have to honor the promotion but he made it seem like we couldn't use our original $50. And really if the paid value doesn't expire for 5 years then he can get the $ and really doesn't want to honor the promo.
We tried to go the Monday after Valentines Day and were told that even though it wasn't a pre-fix we could not use our voucher on that day because it was considered a holiday. The voucher does not say it cannot be used on the weekend or holidays. When I asked to speak to a manager they never called me back. The Atlantica AND the Allegria has lost our business permanently. I would rather spend our $ at a business that runs itself...
