Marvel Frozen Dairy — Restaurant in City of Long Beach

I was in Long Beach today 8/17/25 with some friends enjoying the beach. When we were getting ready to leave, two of us decided to get Marvel. We waited in line close to thirty minutes and when we were served we were charged $7 for softserve that looked more like soup. As soon as the softserve was put on the cone it already started melting. The woman who was serving us asked us if we wanted a cup to put it in. The whole point of having softserve on a cone is to enjoy the cone with the ice cream not have it in a cup with it melting all over our hands.

It was like the machines were not freezing the softserve. For $7 I can spend my money at Ralph's next time. We have been to Marvel before and never had a bad experience.

Just had two ice creams with four different "flavors"—and they all tasted exactly the same: just sugar and water. Nothing natural about it. Flavors are artificial, colors are artificial, and there’s no real taste. It’s not even ice cream—it’s some melted sugary milk that drips everywhere. The reviews by Gina and Michael are 100% accurate. This place is a scam. You walk away with a disgusting feeling in your stomach and less money in your wallet. Nothing frozen, nothing fresh, and certainly nothing worth coming back for. Avoid this place if you value your money...

The service needs significant improvement. The employees' attitudes are unacceptable, with nasty and snarky looks that do nothing but hurt the business. I asked an employee for a small cup of tap water (the short cups you out ice cream in) for my dog on a hot day, and she was more focused on trying to sell me bottled water. When I declined, she said they don’t have tap water from the sink. As a local, this is disappointing, and I won't be purchasing any mediocre ice cream or watered-down slushies from here anymore.
