I don't understand some of the nasty comments made here. I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion and tastes vary so much. I've been to this restaurant many times and have taken friends there, too. Granted, the atmosphere is lacking, but this isn't the first restaurant in this building and my guess is that the current tenants either don't see it or can't afford to make it nicer. As to the dirty dishes, I've never encountered one. And the food...? I find myself craving it. Thank goodness I only live fifty miles away and this is the best Chinese in that radius. The variety is great and I don't care if it looks like in got stuck in the '50's; what passes for good food now-a-days is often unidentifiable and unpronounceable. This stuff is great! The staff is friendly and helpful and when I found out, after eating there several times, that they had punch cards, they gave me one for a free meal. Don't expect haute cusine if you're from the city; but if you're from the country, like me, and you have to travel fifty miles for Chinese food, this one will satisfy...

In my defense, there were a lot of happy looking people coming out--and it's Cody, everything is super expensive and crowded. We decided to eat here, and boy--what a mistake. The floors are dirty, the tables are dirty, there were flies on the windows and the food looked like it'd rolled right out of a fifties cookbook on "Oriental" cooking. Jello. Little squares of frosted cake. Crab rangoons, sweet and sour chicken with bright orange sauce on the side, kimchi that obviously came from the Sysco's (we saw a fleet of trucks driving into and out of Cody. It must be the food service mecca of the West) special of the day Sunluck brand, and sushi rolls that weren't really sushi, but some sort of heavy smushed up rice paste wrapped around carrot sticks and cucumbers (with skin still on). I tried to eat one and my lips sort of rolled back away from it so I put it down and gave up. The best thing are the fried dumplings, but they're (fair warning) so greasy it was pouring down off my chin. Eat here only if...

Wanted to love this place. Was referred by friends. Food was ok. Not a single dish really stood out to me. Pretty standard Chinese buffet fare. Where it seriously lacked was the service. Waitress was good for the first 30 min. Made sure our drinks were filled and dishes were cleared. After that, it got a bit busy and she never came back to refill drinks or check on us again. We had to shout out to get her attention. Buffet trays were often left empty for long periods. I had a tiny scoop of banana pudding, the last of it, and enjoyed it and wanted more. It took them 30 min to refill it. “Refilling” it consisted of dumping a few scoops of pudding out of a can and they didn’t even include the vanilla wafers that were in the prior batch. Drink refills were often flat since they keep the soda in carafes in the dining room. Overall,...

First time at China Town. My daughter wanted Chinese for dinner since we are only in town one night. We have been to many Chinese restaurants in our travels and when my daughter tells me that the food great even before I started eating. I had to agree with her. The food from the buffet was hot and full of flavor. I liked that at the end of one of the buffets they had different sauces that you could one your food. That was different but nice to have options. They have a salad bar area with fruit and a small sushi option. Lastly, they have an ice cream machine which has chocolate or vanilla options. Even though this is not a big buffet as you may find in a bigger city, don't miss this gem if your in Cody as you will not be disappointed.

Establishment should update their website. Hours of operation indicate 11:00 a.m - 9:00 p.m. 7 days yet they weren't opened Sunday. We were seated & drinks were immediately brought to our table. Establishment could use updating such as carpet and walls replaced/repaired. Granted, we ate around 3:30 p.m., and it was slow, but the person who seated us was more interested in her cell phone. Buffet food was hot, as were the serving utensils. Fried rice, there wasn't much to it. Vegetable lo mein, there were no vegetables at any trip to the buffet. I've never seen "orange" egg drop soup. The soup tasted fine, just an odd color. Dessert, cake items are very dry. Staff didn't appear to care about patrons. Our impression, meh!

Went again this evening 8/17/18. As always the staff was welcoming and pleasant even when they were very busy. They had their usual excellent selection of all-you-can-eat foods and desert. Non alcohol drinks are refilled and a decent selection of beers are available. Lunch is around $9 and dinners $14, before beverages. This is one place you don't want to miss. It's the best in Cody.
