I don't understand some of the nasty comments made here. I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion and tastes vary so much. I've been to this restaurant many times and have taken friends there, too. Granted, the atmosphere is lacking, but this isn't the first restaurant in this building and my guess is that the current tenants either don't see it or can't afford to make it nicer. As to the dirty dishes, I've never encountered one. And the food...? I find myself craving it. Thank goodness I only live fifty miles away and this is the best Chinese in that radius. The variety is great and I don't care if it looks like in got stuck in the '50's; what passes for good food now-a-days is often unidentifiable and unpronounceable. This stuff is great! The staff is friendly and helpful and when I found out, after eating there several times, that they had punch cards, they gave me one for a free meal. Don't expect haute cusine if you're from the city; but if you're from the country, like me, and you have to travel fifty miles for Chinese food, this one will satisfy...
Read moreIn my defense, there were a lot of happy looking people coming out--and it's Cody, everything is super expensive and crowded. We decided to eat here, and boy--what a mistake. The floors are dirty, the tables are dirty, there were flies on the windows and the food looked like it'd rolled right out of a fifties cookbook on "Oriental" cooking. Jello. Little squares of frosted cake. Crab rangoons, sweet and sour chicken with bright orange sauce on the side, kimchi that obviously came from the Sysco's (we saw a fleet of trucks driving into and out of Cody. It must be the food service mecca of the West) special of the day Sunluck brand, and sushi rolls that weren't really sushi, but some sort of heavy smushed up rice paste wrapped around carrot sticks and cucumbers (with skin still on). I tried to eat one and my lips sort of rolled back away from it so I put it down and gave up. The best thing are the fried dumplings, but they're (fair warning) so greasy it was pouring down off my chin. Eat here only if...
Read moreWanted to love this place. Was referred by friends. Food was ok. Not a single dish really stood out to me. Pretty standard Chinese buffet fare. Where it seriously lacked was the service. Waitress was good for the first 30 min. Made sure our drinks were filled and dishes were cleared. After that, it got a bit busy and she never came back to refill drinks or check on us again. We had to shout out to get her attention. Buffet trays were often left empty for long periods. I had a tiny scoop of banana pudding, the last of it, and enjoyed it and wanted more. It took them 30 min to refill it. “Refilling” it consisted of dumping a few scoops of pudding out of a can and they didn’t even include the vanilla wafers that were in the prior batch. Drink refills were often flat since they keep the soda in carafes in the dining room. Overall,...
