Rio's Italian Ice & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Conyers

This has definitely been a long time coming. I was actually the first customer when this place opened, and since then, a lot of similar spots have popped up. I’m not entirely sure this one stands out the way it could, but it does have a lot going for it. The menu offers a wide variety of options—from ice cream to flavored ice and an impressive array of toppings. I decided on sour patch and strawberry lemonade flavored ice, along with praline pecan ice cream topped with caramel and Oreos. Everything was delicious, and the customer service was fantastic. I took a while browsing the menu because of all the options, and both the associate and the owner were really helpful in suggesting different choices. The atmosphere itself isn’t particularly remarkable—there are just a few tables and a lot of open space. I think the space could benefit from adding a few more tables and finding a way to make the experience stand out beyond the traditional scoop-in-a-cup concept. That said, this place has a lot of potential. The quality of the ice cream and flavored ice is excellent, and if they can find a way to differentiate themselves from other spots, they could really thrive. I visited the location and noticed the open sign, which prompted me to engage with the lady inside. As I approached the door, I discovered it was locked. I respectfully pointed out to the lady that the sign indicated they were open. Unfortunately, she responded with rudeness and dismissal. Three customers familiar with the establishment corroborated my experience, describing her poor customer service and tendency to leave when she chooses. Shortly thereafter, I encountered another customer complaint about the service at this location, which aligned with my own experience. As a result, I have decided not to return to this...

Me, my wife and daughter went for some New York style, Italian ice and it surpassed my expectations. The service was amazing. I had the luxury of meeting the owners and they were compassionate about what they do and made our visit awesome. We will definitely return. if your in the Conyers area, it is a must especially on a hot day! I will definitely be telling my family and friends about this amazing experience.
