High Tide Bottle Shop & Kitchen — Restaurant in Coronado

No Guilt Pizza. AND delicious! Flat out. I had heard about this pizza; about how good it is & about the quality ingredients used in every pie so I headed to Coronado with my family one day to see for myself. Being from the east coast & a bit of a self styled pizza critic, I wasn't expecting much but liked the idea of organic & Mom & Pop farm grown ingredients that I was told go into every High Tide pie. After sporting a few questions to a manager there (which confirmed what I had heard about the ingredients) I was pleased to find out they also make a variety of salads (all dressings are made onsite) & subs as well. The place was set up nicely. Clean. And beverages? Let's talk beverages. Whatever you want to drink, & I'm talking virtually WHATEVER you want to drink be it generic or with alcohol; they got it! In fact, if you live in Coronado or on The Cays & you want beer or wine or decide to mix a cocktail with liquors of your choice? One phone call takes care of all that at High Tide. Now you tell me what pizza joint does THIS! Okay, okay, the review. I ordered a regular cheese pizza (which, in my opinion is the best way to judge a pie) & a pie with pesto, garlic & tomato slices. The taste of the cheese pie was a perfect blend of sauce & cheese with a homemade crust that was baked to perfection. And the pesto pie? A harmonious symphony of herbs, slices of tomatoes, garlic, pesto & whatever else that went into that magnificent pie. Fantastic, & a LOT more healthy than all the other pies I've checked into.

Had a terrible experience. Ordered the cheese sticks and a pizza. Walked over. Picked it up. Got back to my house and I was actually given a caesar salad and a pizza. I called them up and told them they gave me a salad instead of the cheese sticks. They said they would make me the cheese sticks. I walked back over and they handed me the cheese sticks. Didn't aplogize. I was leaving and they told me that I had to pay for the cheese sticks. After I had walked there, walked home, walked back. I was flabbergasted. Sure, they didnt charge me for the caesar sald, but I didn't order it. So after all that I had to pay again for the cheese sticks. I spoke to the server who was incredibly rude, but then the manager came over and she was much worse than the server. Worst customer service I have dealt with in ages. I will never go back. It's people like these that cause businesses to fail and the owner has no idea why no one goes there anymore.

edit- I got this snarky response and I realize that the person who responded was probably the person who I dealt with originally as when I ordered I said I wanted the cheese bread and she said "We don't have cheese bread, did you mean cheese sticks." Sure, whatever they are called, we both know what I wanted. Initial CS, same as Caesar Salad, so I assumed that is why they screwed up. Now they respond that they don't sell cheese sticks. OK Cheesy Breadsticks. You win. I will still never go back there. By the way, there are two better liquor stores literally across the streat, and better pizza...

Literally the worst pizza I've ever had from a professional pizza place. I ordered two high tides an order of breadsticks and some chicken wings. And all i have to say is I don't know how anybody gave this any stars let alone 5. Pizza is flat tasteless bread. Very little to no sauce too much garlic, undercooked toppings and cheese. If this cardboard pizza wasn't so flat it would be raw for sure. Breadsticks and wings were nothing special. Its not right that this place is rated so high!! They must be rated by friend locals and employees. Very deceiving because this 4.8 rating is rediculous. Im just visiting coronado, wanted some honest good food but Domino's and pizza Hut are light years better, even little ceasers(except there i cold have got 15 pizza for the same price as i payed here...). Thought i was paying for quality but this is just bad. This is the only real review, has to be. The food was horrible. Maybe because I ordered pick up, they just didn't put any love into it but I paid seventy five dollars and ate one tasteless piece. Horrible. Will try every other restaurant on the street before I give these guy's another chance. If I were u I'd try somewhere else....
