Whether you choose to sit inside with the windows wide open, letting the ocean breeze flow through, or on the patio with stunning views of San Diego Harbor, dining at Spiro's Mediterranean Cuisine is a delightful experience. The food is exceptional! We had the lamb and chicken kabobs, which were seasoned beautifully and cooked to perfection. The Spanakopita was also a standout, featuring a delicious mix of spinach and feta cheese nestled between delicate layers of flaky phyllo dough, served with a refreshing side of tzatziki.
The Saganaki, a flaming Greek cheese dish, was a real showstopper. Kasseri cheese set aflame made for a fantastic presentation and was incredibly tasty. It was served with warm pita bread and lemon wedges, enhancing the flavor even more. The Roasted Red Pepper Feta Dip was good, though it was my least favorite among the various items we tried. It included warm pita, roasted red peppers, garlic, olive oil, red wine vinegar, and chili flakes.

Read moreDid a 5 star yelp review but need to respond to the negatives on google. Food is awesome. Family platters a great value. Calamari is the best. Coronado brewing company an tap an extra bonus.
Now my response to the negatives to people who probably never worked in a restaurant.
So you’re takeout was not ready on time and you will never come back? At least a table is open for the rest of us and I don’t need to sit next to you!
As far as who I suspect is the evening cashier, ok he doesn’t have a sparkling personality but he gets it done and from reading the tone of your review I cannot imagine you are sparkly every day!
You want perfect service, go drop $200 at Mortons steakhouse. You want great greek food with great quantities and great price this is the place! Amazing that it is at a tourist spot where they could probably do just as well with lower quality and...
Read moreUpon coming to this restaurant my sole decision was because it says “Greek” flat on I stepped inside the seats were dirty. Already not comfortable, I was waiting for my order a basic Pita lamb that everybody knows what it is. But well, whatever I got the smell made me so sick I just couldn’t, not authentic lamb, it was some sort of processed frozen mix meat, definitely NOT Lamb and please do not call this PITA in your menu. EVEN the pita bread was not authentic I think it was all bought out. Great now I can’t eat, cause I’m so pissed and my wife says “I wish I could offer you my food but this is not good either” so I ask why?? I tasted it and guess what I could swear it was FROZEN pre-cooked fish, smelly and soggy I’m talking drenched in oil. If you don’t want to go through what I did I wouldn’t come here, my advice for whoever is running the restaurant is to...
