Soooo, we will not be returning. When entering we asked if the wait was long and sat at the bar to avoid even more wait. Turns out that was the wrong call because even though we ordered almost right away tons of food came out before ours. We waited 45 minutes for our food. Thank goodness we asked it to be packed to go after a half hour because we had a meeting to get to. Our server was incredibly nice, but obviously stressed. It was clear food was not coming out in order. And whatever manager was there was not that helpful I could tell. Even when we finally got our food the manager told our server to charge us for the ranch we ask for ($2 btw for a small ranch). It was right as we were headed out and the manager left to the back of the store when it happened making it impossible to reason with her. I felt that after so long of waiting and given the wrong impression about timing we should have been given some leniency. We paid before we even got the food so we could leave as soon as it arrived which is why the ranch wasn’t included. If we were able to eat at the restaurant like we wanted and our food came out on time of course we would pay for it like normal, but to throw that on us after bad service just as we are about to leave and not even mention once that you were sorry for the wait. Ridiculous.
Again our server was so sweet and did everything she could.
Also the amount of carrots was sad and disappointing. I love carrots and for the cost of these wings a decent amount...
Read moreWife and I had brunch here on Christmas Eve. Food was absolutely excellent. She had the chilaquiles on special and I had the haystack with a side of green chile. Wife said the chilaquiles were really good, and we like our chilaquiles and have them at a variety of places and at home. For me, the green chile is the best green chile I've ever had, and I'm not kidding. It is a veggie green chile that just has an incredible roasted green chile flavor that the waitress warned was extra spicy that day, and it was much to my delight. The biscuits were tremendous in that they were tasty and not overly dense and a little fluffy. The country gravy was top notch; thick, with great flavor. The green chile added to the Haystack took it over the top and was one of the best breakfasts I've had in 2023 and I eat more biscuit/open faced biscuit sandwiches smothered w/ gravy than my doctor would suggest. If you like green chile, GET THE GREEN CHILE. We wanted to go back and take a quart to go of the wonderful green stuff, but they were closed when we were...
Read moreThe food was amazing. We dined in with a group of 8. We were told that there was a 35 minute wait, which makes sense with how many people we had. But then it got to be an hour with no communication. At that point, we were told that they accidentally skipped us. Which is okay and it happened but there was not apology or accommodation for this situation. Then they sat all 8 of us at a table meant for 6. Once the table next to us left, we asked if we could expand our table and were told no and that they would have to restart our orders if we did. I found this interesting because we were the only Mexicans in the restaurant and the only people receiving poor treatment, bad service and a cold shoulder from every worker.
In the future, I think that an apology would have gone a long way and being more accommodating or upfront about a lack of accommodations would have changed our experience.
If you have a larger group or are people of color, I would...
