Ka Thai Uptown — Restaurant in Dallas

First time visiting Dallas and we ordered Ka Thai delivery for our first dinner cuz their reviews looks pretty good.

I’m so glad we tried cuz their family-style Thai dishes are one of the bests I’ve ever had in the United States! Service was super great as well cuz they double layered the curry dish so that they don’t spill.

We ordered pad see ew (w shrimps, spicy level 3), lamb curry, wings for appetizer and mango sticky rice for dessert. The pad see ew was sooo gooos I’d literally give 10 stars on Yelp if there were such option. We had 8 jumbo shrimps in one dish. Literally…shrimps/noodle ratio was 2:1. Incredible. You never get that in NYC/Austin (where I live) I also love eggs and the veggie in it. One thing worth mentioning is the at most of the pad see ew I’ve had are super oily, but this one doesn’t. This is a MUST ORDER for sure.

The curry was rlly good too and the portion was very generous. It’s just I generally prefer spicy curry and their yellow curry was sweet. Mango sticky rice was also rlly good. Just like the ones I had in Bangkok. Appetizer, the wings, were the only dish that I wouldn’t give 5 stars. The sauce was yummy but the wings are a little too dry.

The ambiance of the restaurant looks rlly nice from the reviews. Would definitely visit for an indoor...

It is ashamed that this company ONLY provided a one-sided story and it is located in a trendy location DALLAS UPTOWN.

ALL customers has NO NEED to know or understand the operation and management between the restaurant and the parking authority.

KA THAI and its STAFFS should provide the best services and hospitalities and assistances to ALL KA THAI customers whenever there is difficulties, from parking to menu explanation as mandatory gratuities.

The situation was "The manager said in a sick and ill - respect manner that "the customer has to pay DOUBLE if he is going to register the license plates and pay through his mobile phone for the KA THAI customers". This is the reason why one of these customer took out cash and let him do it" . The visitor's mobile phone does not work seamlessly in a roaming location, in this case Dallas uptown.

The manager did not come back to table. There was another server who bought food and drinks and the bill to the table.

Beware, NO ONE, from server to manager, has informed this group of visitors to pay extra 25% service charges.

Shame On You.
