I am typically not one to write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my recent experience at your establishment with you.
I have been a frequent patron of your establishment as it offers a serene escape from where I live, and I have always found the food to be decent. In fact, I have recommended your place to my friends in the past. However, my visit today left me extremely disappointed.
Today, when I arrived 5 minutes to noon, intending to order mu usual breakfast burrito, the breakfast menu was still being offered. The lack of customer service was evident as I stood there waiting for assistance despite the place being empty other than 2 people seated at the patio. A gentleman working near the grill seemed to ignore my presence, and it was only after a few minutes that a lady finally approached to take my order.
To my surprise, she was informed by that gentleman ‘cook” that breakfast was no longer available for the day, despite it still being advertised. The way in which this situation was handled left much to be desired. The gentleman working the grill exhibited a lack of professionalism and basic communication skills, which ultimately led to me leaving without placing an order.
I sincerely hope that this feedback reaches you constructively. As a loyal customer who values great service, I believe it is important to address such instances to ensure the satisfaction of future patrons. Regrettably, I must express my decision not to return to your establishment and to discourage others from doing so until improvements are made in handling customer interactions.
Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns. I trust that this feedback will be taken seriously and that necessary steps will be taken to avoid similar experiences for others...
Read moreThis past weekend, my girlfriend and I visited The Taco Stand for the first time, and I can confidently say it’s the best place for tacos and burritos in all of Dallas—maybe even Texas. We had been searching for authentic Mexican tacos and burritos that truly do justice to Mexican cuisine, and this spot absolutely delivers.
The flavors immediately reminded me of LA-style tacos and burritos, which has been rare to find. To be clear, I have nothing against Tex-Mex, but if you’re looking for truly authentic Mexican flavors, this is the place to go.
Beyond the incredible food, the experience was just as impressive. The service was fantastic—friendly, efficient, and quick. The wait times were short, and the prices were extremely fair, especially compared to other places where the food isn’t nearly as good but costs almost twice as much.
The atmosphere added to the authenticity. The dining tables are the classic Corona beer tables you’d find in a taco shop in Mexico, and the background music features authentic Mexican tunes. While the music might seem like a minor detail, it really enhances the overall vibe—especially when you’re enjoying delicious tacos with a cold beer.
The location is also a big plus—situated in a nice, safe neighborhood, making the visit even more enjoyable. Overall, this was an amazing experience, and I’ve already started recommending it to friends and acquaintances. Not only will I be going back, but I’ve become a huge advocate for this place because it really is that good.

Read moreI went to Taco stand for lunch today and I ordered the Baja Taco along with an order of churros. I'm new to Dallas and typically used to get Moe's back when I used to stay in Atlanta. I'll start by saying this place trumps any Mo's experience I've ever had. The taco I had was a little messy but extremely flavorful right out the bag, but there's selection the sauces took the taco to the next level. I'd recommend the Chipotle salsa, either the mild or the hot one if you prefer spicy foods like I do. The fish tasted really fresh and well cooked and honestly these are some of the best churros I've ever had in my life. Being a huge fan of churros and them being one of my favorite desserts, I'm always tempted to try places that have churros in the presentation and the flavor has to put these churros among some of the favorites I've ever tried. I was only expecting to get one long churro Or a few small bites but the ones I got were pretty sizable and I got a serving of four of them for the great price of just $4. The service in there was amazing. The cook was really kind and my order was finished relatively quickly. Overall, I've only been in Dallas for about a week or two and this is one of the best food experiences I've had since I've gotten to Dallas, especially for something so quick...
