I was in Dallas on a day trip and this was right by the office I had to visit. I had to get back to Houston so I decided to order.
Food: I ordered the shrimp alla vodka…I got the chicken. I DO NOT EAT MEAT! Unfortunately, I was already on the bus on my way home when I opened the food and discovered it was chicken. I was extra annoyed because I hadn’t eaten all day! I did try the pasta and it was good but I can’t give anything more than a 1 star because I actually POINTED at the large picture on the menu and somehow they got it wrong, but let’s move into the service…May explain why.
Service: definitely a 1 star. The lady at the front was polite and helpful but she said she had only been there 3 days. I initially decided to just get the wedding cookies because my Uber was coming. There were about 6-8 waitresses behind the counter, all chatting away, playing with a kid, doing everything but taking orders. After waiting for about 4 minutes I walked away empty handed because only one person was checking out the 3 people in front of me. Plot twist, my Uber cancelled so I decided to order real food. Again, only one person working at the counter…I go to order and then another waitress comes to pay for something and she turns to attend to that person ahead of me who has been waiting.
Next, I point to the shrimp alla vodka that had a big picture in the menu and when I get my food, it was chicken. Overall, there were a bunch of really young girls all over the restaurant in their uniform but it just seemed like no one was trying to help or had any sense of urgency!
This is the straw that broke the camel’s back. When I finally settled in at home, I went to the website to try to find a contact us link… NOTHING! I went back to Google maps, found the number on there, called and no one ever answered! Bottom line, I want my refund.
Ambiance: really nice space. Loved the decor.
Overall, a sad experience because the restaurant definitely has potential. Consider training your staff and include a way to reach management on your website. Don’t live in Dallas so won’t be going back or recommending it!!! The decor and atmosphere was the only reason this...
Read moreWe had high expectations for brunch at this beautiful restaurant. Some of our friends rave about it and we have tried to come for brunch before, but the lines were out the door. We came early today and were seated immediately. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't anything like our friends. I have a feeling our waiter was new. He started out great and was very nice, but after we got our drinks we rarely saw him. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and he didn't seem to be familiar with them on the menu. My guest asked about the Chilaquiles. She is a vegetarian and asked if they could substitute something for the eggs - he said no and the price would be the same. There didn't seem to be many savory vegetarian offerings on the menu, so she went for it.
The restaurant started filling up, and it took quite awhile to get our food, and when we did you could tell that it had been sitting for awhile. My guest noticed there was chicken on her dish, and we waited for our server to come back and check on us. It was over 15 minutes before he finally did, and I had almost finished eating my dish. By that time she really didn't want anything else, and said she didn't notice that there was chicken on it and asked if they could take it off our check - she didn't want to wait for another dish. He went off to talk to someone, and when he came back he asked if we wanted to talk to a manager. A good manager shouldn't be asking if we want to talk to them, if there is a problem they should want to talk to us to resolve any issues. He said they couldn't take it off our check so we said fine, just wrap it up to go and we would find someone to eat it. Another 10 minutes later he brought back another plate of food - steaming hot, smaller portion but no chicken. This whole experience took over an hour, and there was as usual people lined up outside in the heat that I am sure would have loved to have had our table.
We so wanted to have this as our new brunch spot, but we expect more from a place that is as highly rated as this is. Everyone has an off day, and we seemed to have gotten...
Read moreThe waitress, Ana, was amazing! She was sweet and super kind! Very attentive! The manager Karla was a different story, when we got there I asked for a table for 15 people and let the hostess know only 6 of us were there! They said it was going to be a one hr wait so we said that’s fine and told the hostess it would be about 30 minutes for the rest of the party to be there. We got called 10 mins after to be seated, and still let them know we were missing people yet they said it was fine! About 15 mins after sitting down the manager Karla came with an attitude asking where the rest of the people where and letting us know they needed the other tables because the restaurant was full and other guests were complaining about the empty table. We called our family members and asked where they were IN FRONT of Karla, and they let us know they were in the parking lot waiting in the line for valet. Karla left and came back within 2-3 mins with an attitude telling us our family members were going to take too long because the parking lot was full and other people were waiting, I told her they had parked already and they were walking towards the restaurant, and Karla left. Our family members walked in as soon as she walked out. The problem was her attitude and the way she handled the situation! I specifically told the hostess our family members weren’t there yet TO AVOID A SITUATION LIKE THAT and they said everything was fine and still sat the 6 of us who were there down! If Karla would have came with a better attitude maybe apologetic for the situation things would have been different but the whole time she kept coming back with an attitude trying to make us stand and give our table away! Also our food came out soggy and cold 🤦🏻♀️ it was my husband’s birthday and she made it extremely uncomfortable, so...
