This will be on of the most honest reviews about this place. Writing this after my second visit here. Initially, I went with just my fiance at a very early time (5 PM). That day was a great experience, great service, great food, no complaints with staff.
The second time was yesterday, I went with a group of 8 other girls for a birthday dinner. First, I emailed the restaurant asking if it was okay to bring a cake. They said yes, but wanted to charge $8 per person... The egotistic bouncers at the door couldn't manage the amount of people waiting outside in the heat, and for some reason they use red ropes to control people who enter and exit. In which you had to stand there trying to leave and tap them on the shoulder to open the rope.. We sat a bit later than our reservation time, and our service was just "ok." Food was good and came out timely. When paying, it took 30 minutes for the server to figure out how to split it evenly. She ended up forgetting to charge 1 of the girls in our group, in which we had to ask her why and remind her there's one more card to run. Our plan was to then walk upstairs and visit the club (which has an elevator attached to the restaurant). After spending $800+ on dinner, you would think they'd take us right upstairs. Instead, they made us LEAVE the restaurant, wait in a line OUTSIDE with other people who did not have dinner inside, and then walk back in about 30 minutes later. We took the elevator upstairs and walked into an EMPTY CLUB. So, they made us leave, wait and come back inside for a literal empty venue. Bought 1 vodka Redbull for $30...if you really want a overall good dining experience, go to one of the 30 other highly rated restaurants in Dallas (Monarch, Charles,...
Read moreI had never written a review in my life. Usually even if i don't like the food or service I just don't come back. But it was so bad that I had to share my experience at tbis place. The food here is one star or below. The worst sushi you could ever have. They only have few cheap rolls like terrible california rolls, veggies rolls, tuna rolls, and like two types of sushi (salmon and yellow tail) and all did not look fresh, and the rest are just things like coockies and few other terrible cheap disshes like fried rices, fried wonton. They don't even refill their food. The buffet station were always empty with no food. Our server was slow, brought out our minosa without juice and we always waited for a long time when we ordered new drinks. The restaurant manager was rude, all he cared about was serving table with young ladies and did not care about anyone else. We had group of 7 people and our total bill was $1000.00 for the food that were much worse than grocery store sushi...save your money. The service was terrible just like the food and as they forced you to pay 20% for one star service. When I said force, i mean they automatically charged you 20%. Don't get me wrong, when we dine out, we always tip min 20%, in most cases 25% to 30%, but not when the service...
Read moreWhile I would like to give this establishment a stellar review, sadly, I did not have the best experience dining at this restaurant. After making a reservation online, we waited more than ONE HOUR to be seated to dine, which at that point they proceeded to tell us about their “wonderful” establishment and the lounge next door that we would be able to go to after dining.
We had a nice waiter and after finishing our meal we proceeded to go to the lounge, at which point we were told that we would not be able to enter and we would have to go outside and wait in line and talk to someone because at that point they were only taking table reservations only.
This was extremely disappointing given we waited more than an hour to dine at the restaurant, and even more disappointing to witness the establishment continue to allow white patrons to enter to the lounge, while myself, an African-American woman and friend were denied entrance.
Upon reading other reviews, it seems that other patrons with black and brown skin have had similar experiences.
Sadly, I will not be...
