We were invited here to a Birthday Celebration, so I must preface that I did not pick this spot. I dont enjoy these Eatertainment Club/ Restaurant (STK type) environments. Service Steakhouse Fare in an environment that does not allow you to hear the person across the table from you more less someone sitting three seats away is a Clown Show. If it's 7pm on a Sunday night, the DJ should understand that the 30% filled dining room and the Completely empty Lounge does not dictate the same Volume and Song Selection as much later in the night. As for the Cuisine, it's average Steakhouse at best. Lots of Butter and Cream in everything. The Scampi dish is amateur hour, it should not have cream in the sauce and especially with the combination of using Angel Hair pasta that leads to an over sauced slimy and messy plate. ANGEL HAIR is for a very light sauce, like Olive Oil and Lemon or even a light Pesto, it will not hold up to a cream sauce. The Grits were delicious and the Crab Cake was good as well, however it look to have been pressed flat and the thin🍟 should be served in some type of basket or serving dish as opposed to thrown on the plate. Steaks looked to have been cooked correctly, but again I couldn't hear anyone speak so it was difficult to gauge other members of our groups satisfaction. As far as Service goes, at this price point there should NEVER be an instance in which food is being randomly dropped off at the table and then auctioned off by server who don't have any idea who ordered what and whose voices can't be heard because of the level of the Music. This amounts to a disgusting experience and a lack of comfort and enjoyment on the part of the customer. My 9 year old granddaughter can do a better job. At this price point, the level of service is completely unacceptable. I understand that you may be attempting to draw in Customers who don't know any better, are there for special occasions and are willing to listening to badly selected random tracks playing way too loud. HOWEVER, that type of Customer is usually a one time visitor, of which we will be because we won't be returning. Good luck with that Customer Retention Business Model. As to the Menu, what Moron chose the #6 Size Font on the Menu for the Printing??? Not only is it already a dimly lit environment but you need a Magnifying Glass and your Phone Flashlight to read it... WHY??? Everything else about the place is big and over the top, big tables, big chairs, big couches in the Lounge, big plates and big TV screens all over the room. Why the tiny type on the little menus the??? If Big and Over the Top is the Brand then give me a Giant Steakhouse Menu that I can READ. I would think that the Management would understand that they Customer needs to be able to READ the menu to Order, so it does directly correlate to lost sales. This is only exasperated by the difficulty when trying to discuss the Menu and Order with other members of the dining party as well as the Staff by the Loud Music. Good luck with this concept, it will be short lived. There will be another new spot in town opening every few months and this tired Vegas (Copy Cat STK) dining experience will run out of new bodies to fill the room. Also, your going to experience a ton of staff turnover due to the environment and the lack of consistent returning clientele who know your menu and have a clear expectation of the deliverables. Just my 2 cents, but that's not how a Steakhouse works. ESPECIALLY not a Steakhouse in Dallas, TX. We kind of Own this type of Vibe, and there are clear Expectations by the customer. Or you can just churn through single visits by random customers who are in town for a one off visit....

I stumbled into this place by accident but happy I did. Be warned, there is a dress code but once you’re inside you’ll understand why! Food was phenomenal, drinks were incredible and staff were amazing! I had the lamb and wagyu meatballs which were to die for! The sauce was on point and it came with toasted breadsticks! I tried the lobster rolls which were also a top pick. The environment here is something else, clearly a lot of love went into designing this place. The drinks were in a league of their own here. I tried the applewood smoked old fashion, which is smoked right in front of you, very nice presentation! Also tried the two hats blues, which I have to say, it is dangerously good! The manager told me this specific drinks ingredients are aged for three weeks prior to serving, and it shows, 10/10! This place has it all, the food is great and so are the drinks and the staff! Everyone has been very attentive, I even got to chat with the manager Inmer for a bit. He took the time to show me around the place, including the private speakeasy style lounge area that can be rented for private events and the super cool wine display which was such a nice and elegant touch. Even the restrooms were incredible! Also had a super cool liquor display, and a sitting/waiting couch, the stalls were very spacious and elegant. It was a breath of fresh air talking to the manager and seeing someone who genuinely loves their job, treats this staff well, and can make you feel at home. The staff really took care of me, can’t wait to show off this hidden gem off to my circle! Edit 6/28/24 decided to come back out on a Friday and bring my lady after the manager Inmer had recommended me to check out their nightlife scene. I must say he was right; this place is Popping!! It’s a hot spot for sure, plenty of beautiful and happy people and great atmosphere. Inmer runs a tight ship! Even on a busy night! Kuddos to you and the team again. So Firstly we had to eat, and I have to recommend everyone try the fried green tomatoes!! Omg I just about gobbled them all up myself! Finger licking good! 12/10 these are done right and to perfection! The crispy Brussels were also very tasty, and the garlic aioli that they are smothered in is a great choice! I had to order some sauce on the side I couldn’t get enough, perfect blends of flavors! 10/10 Tried the lobster Mac and cheese, it is a great twist to your tradition mac and cheese, flavorful, cheesy, and with lobster! Yum!! 10/10 The spicy chicken penne was also one of those that had a great creamy sauce and was delish! 10/10. The shrimp scampi is one of my top choices, once again, the sauce!! This place needs to be known for their sauces ! Every single sauce they make and put on every single dish is unique and in a league of its own. The shrimp scampi sauce didn’t disappoint. 12/10! I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu, this place is phenomenal, and again, their sauces!!!! On my Next edit I will add new dishes. And hopefully get more insight on their sauces!

I had high hopes for Paparazzi Chophouse — it was my 38th birthday, and I chose this place because it looked upscale and classy. Turns out, looks are ALL it has to offer. Our reservation was for 8:45 PM. We didn’t get seated until 9:50. That was red flag #1, but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt — big mistake. The service was disorganized from the jump. Our server seemed either brand new or completely untrained. No Dr. Pepper, no lemonade — just water or alcohol. He said he tried to change the soda syrup like that was somehow my problem. Not a huge deal, but definitely odd for a place claiming to be upscale. I ordered a medium-well filet — it came out straight up medium rare, borderline rare. Tried to tough it out but couldn’t finish it. I politely sent it back, and the manager came over (unapologetically) to “educate” me on how a steak should look, saying “there will be a strip of pink in medium-well.” Sir… I’ve been eating steak longer than you’ve had a job — I know what medium-well looks like. That was not it. Still, no apology, no accountability — just attitude. At that point, I didn’t even want another steak — the first one had already ruined the vibe. But the server insisted. When the second filet came out, some guy with a flashlight literally stood over me and made me cut it open at the table — like I was on Hell’s Kitchen doing a steak exam. I’ve never experienced anything like that in my life. By then, I just wanted to pay and leave. The whole night was a bust. I never even got to enjoy a proper birthday dinner. To top it off, the prices are completely unjustified for the lackluster food and the mess of a dining experience. They’re trying way too hard to look like a high-end steakhouse, but they do not have the service, kitchen, or hospitality to back it up. Save yourself the disappointment — Mercury Chop House is where the real upscale experience is. I won’t be back to Paparazzi, and I won’t recommend it to anyone

And hopefully get more insight on...

I think this restaurant has a lot of potential and could use some notes to really improve the experience… we had a 8:30pm reservation and arrived to the hostess. The hostesses and gentleman standing there were aloof, uninviting and did not acknowledge us until we spoke. When we were told that another party was still dining and we would need to wait for our table, we asked where we could wait and the gentleman just told us to step to the side since other parties were entering at the door, we asked to sit at the bar and they shrugged that we could. Once at the bar, the environment wasn’t so bad. We ordered drinks and after waiting about 20 minutes we decided to order an appetizer. Once it was 9pm, my husband decided to check in with the hostess since we had not heard anything about our table readiness. I sincerely believe they forgot about us because the hostess said our table was ready one she saw my husband and we needed to be seated. At the same time, our appetizer was brought to the bar and the bartender stated “you need to close out your tab”— it was all abrupt and uncoordinated leaving my husband carrying our drinks, trying to quickly pay the tab, me taking the appetizer that was just dropped off by a server who quickly hurried away while the hostess stood there not offering to help. Another thing—- why is there a 20% gratuity on a bar tab? Once seated it was very loud, our server who came over several minutes after being seated just asked us what we wanted to eat— no warm welcome or intro to the menu. Sincerely my goal here isn’t to pick apart these interactions but for the price point of this restaurant these are very fair expectations— courtesy, a smooth hand off and an inviting atmosphere. Once our food came out it was incredibly disappointing. We got a salad which was frozen and hard to eat, lobster rolls and fries arrived cold, the fried chicken was very salty. After spending almost $250 for 2 of us to dine this was honestly a waste of money. We are hard working people who really look forward to date nights— with coordinating and paying for childcare + driving out there it was just a disappointing evening. There are so many incredible restaurants in Dallas who provide high quality and great hospitality — for the price point we really deserved better. FYI— the environment is very loud and club like at night so if you’re looking for an intimate dining experience this...
